🌼 A B O U T M E 🌼
My name is Rachel Terry and I write Young Adult and Adult Fantasy, and Adult Historical Mystery. I grew up in a small town where nothing much ever happened, dreaming of grand adventures and far-away places, which I found between the pages of books. When not writing, I can be found reading, making RUclips videos, gaming with friends, or indulging in my love of history and the weather.

Just finished it, loved it so much !! So many twists and exciting conclusions
The author did a great job of making me think every character was sus 😂 really had no idea who was the murderer until the very end
Yes!!! I'm so happy to see you're doing reviews again. I can listen to you go on about books all day lol 😎👍
😂 Thank you!!
I felt so sad that Meg knew the baby survived but let Percy believe it had died because of him. Basically extra payback for cheating. She is truly evil
I loved the writing in this book but I got bugged down with the suicide theme which was taken up by most of the story in the middle of the book, I couldn’t sleep each night after I would read a couple of chapters, but I still wanted to finish the book. I had to read it all during the day, I just wished the story had explored Isabel’s love affair more, so I could’ve slept in peace, instead of it being a small part at the end of the book. Thanks for your review, I’m Australian & the writing of the bush was spot on, I could feel it.
Yay, a book review! This one sounds interesting. I will have to check it out.
I hope you like it! It was very good.
Percy knew the baby he left in the rose garden was his because Isabelle wrote about it in her journal (the missing pages). I don't think Meg knew for certain that the baby was his, but I do believe she may have suspected as much.
And while it's true that what she did was evil and incomprehensible, it's important to remember that Isabel and Percy weren't without sin. They were both married to other people when they had their affair. In no way does that justify what Meg did, but I hesitate to hold either one of them in high regard. Their decision to become lovers had far-reaching effects across several generations and many decades. So sad!
Wonderful book & first class review! Patricia 🇯🇪 18:47 18:48
Thank you!
I swear all of Morton's stories feel the same. How are people still buying her books is beyond me
