Yeah I think for that just limit your playing and only play when you're actually able to focus. Do something else or force yourself to DM when you get the urge to play.
Play with a duo who will hold you to that, not who will talk but who will be like woah what are you doing. So that you’ll both be scared to somewhat make mistakes as the other will call them out instantly
statistically speaking you can't keep playing at full potential for hours and not feel fatigued. this is why practicting till your "autopilot" is good enough is key. you can't be at your A game all the time, so having a better B or C game would help wonders.
I have the opposite problem, plat 2 almost only on aim (I think) I feel like I don't know what to do most of the time and I have a hard time using utility
play more and watch pros where do they play, what util do they throw, when do they throw it, why are they throwing it, are there any factors that are different between your VOD and their VOD that would affect the util they do throw (maybe their comp is missing an initiator so they throw raze boombot at X location early when usually an initiator would throw util there)
Do you think you’ll do a vid review series for the new console players. I’ll be a brand new valorant player and I am looking for all the help I can get to learn the game before the release.
My mind is still blown on how he has over 500 hours in one SINGLE act....... Looking at my tracker the most i've EVER played is 90hrs and that was E7A1 So as a plat 2 player I have yet to even hit 100hours in a single act....... man to have no job and just be able to play all day would be insane
DUDE a single act is 60D which is 1440 Hours and this guy played 541 hours on episode 5 act 3 and peaked gold 2 BRO IF YOU THINK ABOUT THATS FKIN INSANE AND HIS MENTAL WAS PROBABLY INSANE THOSE 2 MONTHS
is death match really need i dislike the gamemode. and i feel like it wont help me in the getting better. other competitive games i played i didnt have to play a casual mode to improve maybe learn the basics but never to improve in the game/ rank up just happened from learning the game and how to play
You're supposed to aim at like belly button height on 3m distance. There are little nuances, like aiming too low or too high for the distance. It's like 0-7m is spray and pray but the farther up you are on that scale the less effective it is, and you might wanna crouch walk at 6-7m. I suggest going into the range and hitting practice and just getting a feel where you should be aiming with which gun on what type of close range distance. Or you are doing it right and just have a negativity bias like everyone else, lol
Likely, your mechs are probably pretty good for one reason or another, but you should always be practicing them regardless, with dm and the voltaic x woohoojin aimlabs playlist. 2 dms per ranked is like the standard, more would be better if your mechs are trash and you wanna focus on improving them. At the end of the day you'll have to VOD review yourself and check if your mechs and technique are always crispy if you know the criteria, or get someone who does to VOD review you, if you wanna find out how good your mechs are. Or just in general to find your biggest focus point.
im gonna be honest putting hours into dm will not make you a better player. play the game, vod review yourself, compare yourself to better players and see what they do pre round / during the round, implement it into your ranked games
No offense but how do you play 1k hours to take 2 whole minutes to write a single sentence, with this level of competency im surprised he knows how to breath.
That's quite harsh it certainly hurts my feelings, but half of that playtime was mindless, the other half was spread across 7 episodes, mostly playing the game with friends casually. Never thought aim would be a problem because I was mostly performing middle of the pack on average kd wise, I've played a lot of fps games, I felt like I got headshots and my bot scores were good in the range. It was just in my blind spot, and I'm happy someone else could make me see clearly 👏
