    Well, how did it run?

      The Big Sucker was a great addition to this bike. I had originally planned on doing a review after using this for a while, but I ended up trading the bike in before recording that video. I noticed an immediate improvement in throttle response. The tone of the bike changed a bit as well (in a good way). You could definitely hear the extra air getting to the engine giving it a good grunt. I would personally use this again and recommend to others. Hope that helps tie up the install video 👍

      We have VANCE AND HINES FP3's, so installing a new air cleaner is nothing when it comes to tuning it. I would highly recommend a FP3 it also reads trouble codes and alot of the times the codes are something small and you can clear them, therefore clearing your conscience! God bless you

    Good install video. Just a word of warning to others as someone who's owned this air cleaner for about a year - it doesn't do a great job of sending the blowback oil back into the engine like is supposed to happen. What I end up with instead is oil dripping from the bottom of the air cleaner onto my crankcase on a daily basis. I'm considering rerouting the blowback oil to a catchcan.

    Cant thank you enough for this! Looked for days for an install video about this process and finally came across yours. Have all the same parts (BS + VH FP3) sitting in my garage, waiting to install on my '19 48 so THANK YOU!
    ps - per your chrome delete, I recently pulled my stock chrome heat shields and added the black HD buckshot ones (was fine paying the HD tax for that) and pulled off the chrome muffler shields to reveal the black ones beneath. Perfect match and ditched a ton of chrome in the process. If that helps at all, its a pittance for the help you provided with this much needed video. Thanks again
    Edit: 1. Were you tempted at all to leave the FP3 on for the long term info? 2. Impressions since install? Did the map take?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  5 лет назад

      Hey Nick! I removed the FP3 after mapping because I don't currently use the sensor data, that might change if I add a phone mount to the bike. It would be interesting to monitor temps and stuff. All of the maps I've tried have been great! No need to run autotune so far. The throttle response was drastically improved on my particular bike and it feels like it runs a bit cooler. It's funny you should mention the Buckshot heat shields because I recently released the exhaust upgrade video! I went with V&H Twin Slash slip-ons and those very same heat shields. It looks awesome and cuts down the chrome just enough for my taste.

    Question: Picked up ebay Arlen Ness big sucker for my 2012 EFI Sportster... appears it may by missing a set of breather bolts. The ones I have appear to look like yours with the big hole on the end, but the stock breather bolts removed have a way smaller hole through them. • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  4 года назад +1

      I used the map for high flow air cleaner with the stock exhaust. When I installed the new mufflers later on I flashed a new map for the brand that I had. There are many available maps to match most situations. Vance & Hines support is very good if you have any questions. I called them a couple of times and got the answers I needed. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a repeat customer 😀

      @connorwalsh8593 4 года назад

      runs fine. i didn't tune mine

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  4 года назад

      It's highly recommended to tune after the stock air intake is upgraded or if a full exhaust system is installed. A lot of people don't find it necessary after testing it out. Some bikes respond better than others. In my case, I installed the tuner before I installed the air intake so I was able to apply an updated map immediately.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  3 года назад
