The absolute worst thing we may ever hear is “I never knew you.” To think that we might go through our entire “Christian” lives knowing all about God, but never actually being intimate enough with Him to know Him, and be known by Him. This is the worst thing imaginable. And, this is the very thing that causes me to want to be vulnerable with Him, others and myself. This is freedom.

His views didn't address the horrors of evils and beliefs of being superior to those that were believed to be lesser. And those traits were exercised from the beginning.
