      I know we can LOOK Very commercial. As I say we are not sponsored by every dang bait company we talk about. I like companies like BassReaper I've met them, I'm friends with a lot of these guys and they are just that. A guy. Small businesses. Thank you for noticing thank you supporting, thank you for understanding that to live this dream you have to have help at first.

      @ I would rather support small mom n pop shops and locals than the giants killing off the small businesses. If I have to spend a little more it’s worth it too me too support small local businesses. To me it’s and investment in The community

    Hank, I didn't think anybody popped that knot wad through the eye to make it sit below the eye for a more horizontal hook. Good tip!

    The drop shot has been my go to techique for a long time, no matter where I have lived. Longer leaders required here in Florida. When you tied an over hand knot, and pulled the hook through the loop, that's a palomar knot. And the worm hooks work great with longer worms 7" and bigger. #tripworm #magfattyZ #olmonster #100percentwatchsquad

    • @BassGeek
      @BassGeek  Месяц назад +1

      I can see that a longer leader works great around all that grass. I like it when I'm around BIG Boulders or if the bass are suspended on structure.

    What would you do if you was bank fishing with that set up

    • @BassGeek
      @BassGeek  25 дней назад

      Man I would do pretty much the same thing just downsize weight. I prefer shorter baits from the bank on a dropshot due to the angle of the bank, rod, line.

    Looks like a replica of the Berkley flat worm

    • @BassGeek
      @BassGeek  Месяц назад +1

      The Berkley flat worm is a replica of the shad shape worm which is a replica of a strike King half shell which started because people where cutting rodents in half and using them on a dropshot.

  • @GregRomero-js9oh
    @GregRomero-js9oh Месяц назад

    Also never use those worm hooks for drop shot

    • @BassGeek
      @BassGeek  Месяц назад +1

      They work just fine when you need to be Weedless.

    • @GregRomero-js9oh
      @GregRomero-js9oh Месяц назад

      @ you can rig an octopus hook weedless as well

    • @brianlee9074
      @brianlee9074 Месяц назад +1

      I disagree. If you want to use a worm bigger than 7" use a worm hook. Longer leader. Bigger worm. Bigger fish here in Florida.

    • @GregRomero-js9oh
      @GregRomero-js9oh Месяц назад

      @ I’ve used 9 inch worms with a size 1 vmc drop shot hook never has an issue

    • @BassGeek
      @BassGeek  Месяц назад +1

      Hey man I’m happy you for you. You do it your way and I’ll do it mine let the bass be the judge. The only right way is the way the bass are biting. Have a good one.
