Puttin' in the hours, grinding it out, gettin' up early when most people are just turning over and so and so on... Keep on keeping on. Glad I found this channel. Stay safe ... Education from actual experience, awesome. God bless...tight lines.
That’s the deal be the best you can be. I might not be on the lake but 1-2 times a week because of work and family but I’m there every opportunity because it’s a priority to me.
Hey man you're putting out some good stuff and consistently. Cold as could be up here in Illinois but we got some good hot water discharges on the river!
Seen you the other day again, we had 22lbs and change. Dropping but a bait nobody is using. Hope you done well, I'm just not into throwing crankbaits on soho, never had much luck with it. I save those for Douglas and Watauga.
Thank you Hank super great breakdown on the baits and everything you Need to do to fish them. I love the ff sonar minnow the smallmouth on lake mead destroy the 4” JC natural color. Thank you as always for the informative content. #HUNDOSQUAD
You are right I would be doing the same thing you just said on this video but I'm ahead of you already I am drinking one for you what you were doing this fishing video
Hank, here in Northern Alabama on the Tennessee River the Dimiki rig is number one, period. I have very little success with the hard crank bait here, but that might be me. The spoons and Dimiki are killer here in the winter. Just my observation. Good advice from you, my friend, but again, I'm not fishing a highlands lake. Thanks again for all the excellent tips.
@@BassGeek Absolutely! I never expect the same results in different geographical areas. Your tips are spot on for your environment, but as you said, nothing is constant. Your advice and videos are solid nevertheless.
#100percentwatchsquad I love getting out on the water when it's cold and the air is crisp. If it's windy, I'll still be out there but I'll definitely be looking for more protected waters. It's supposed to be in the upper 20s next week. We'll see what the bass think of that.
Technology advances every year and is only speeding up. So let’s take the TFO Professional series rod. Great bank for the buck rod that will do well for years. HOWEVER, they just upgraded components because the price of higher end components drop over time. Now I’m not saying upgrade every year but 3-5 there has been a lot of changes in that time span.
Idk if it’s my style because I have a tendency to just kind of finesse fish or if it’s because I live on mostly spotted bass fisheries but is west I catch the most fish during the winter months?! I’m in Northern California and I don’t even large mouth fish in the delta when it’s cold I just go to all the highland reservoirs and catch the spots
Love a hard jerkbait this time of the year Hank. Duo Realis makes a good one. The 6th Sense Provoke, and the Lucky Craft Pointer are killer too. Definitely throwing a swim bait too. #100percentwatchsquad
10" top hook hudd , hawg hunter or savage gear trout is my go to this time of year for big softy's but I'll pick up kgb legend, clutch boss or many other 9+" WIIIIDE glides before I will ANYTHING else rn.. fish em slow and wide and they will get smashed

I can't imagine up there. We are highs in the 20's and 30's for the next 2 weeks here.

Hahaha! Yeah seems to help him out a lot.
Could you talk about what are some good cold weather clothing and what you may wear??
We have something about that in a video coming soon. I may have to do a video on what I use and have used in the past.

Hey things work different in different places for sure.

Exactly. I can give what I like to do or what works for me and it's up to the viewer to adapt that to their lakes and conditions.

Thank you David. #100ROCKS
If you already have quality rods and reel, what is your reason for upgrading.Just curious.thanks for your response

Me too. I hope more fishing
Ok I have the baits now to go out try to find ‘em 🤞
Good luck!
Does the baby z too work with those angler tungsten heads with the screw lock?
Yes. Heat the screw lock and then twist it up. Better than super glue.
Wiggle warts, flat wart, smythwick jerkbait, A rig....and the footbal jig. Or anything in purple
ANYTHING Purple. That's the truth.
very nice bro
Thank you!
At what point does red become the color? Also are you coming to Knoxville for the expo this year
Yes sir!
Idk if it’s my style because I have a tendency to just kind of finesse fish or if it’s because I live on mostly spotted bass fisheries but is west I catch the most fish during the winter months?! I live on them highlands lakes myself. They are just full of LG and Sm Mouth No real spots around here.
Knoxville show will be great what other shows will you might be attending?
Yes it will be. I'll be in Raleigh on Saturday, Richmond on Saturday, and then Knoxville.
Would a "hard" jerkbait break through "hard" ice?
If it’s hard enough
What kinda mics you use on your GoPro ? And how good are they
The rode go boom and the mics that come on the case you can get with them.
Ned rig?
Yeah no Ned right. Dragging is a drag.

Yes sir I love the Duo. I still have not tried the 6th Sense.
