  • For Martin Luther, the issue of man’s bondage to sin, and moral inability to believe or obey, was the root issue of the Reformation - and the lynchpin of Protestantism.

Only in the proper understanding of the true extent of depravity of the human being, can the true magnitude and indescribable glory of Christ be seen.

It’s your duty to remain in Christ. God helps with His Spirit, but you must allow Him to guide and lead into a faithful end.
Many examples in the bible of people casting away their faith and falling into the condemnation of the devil.
      God bless

Evan U That is false. No person that has been regenerated (born again) will be lost. That is Gods elect. Jesus will lose none that the Father has given Him. 👉
“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭6:37-39‬ ‭ESV‬‬
👆 Jesus will lose none of them.
Now if you see someone leave when you think they had faith then 👉
“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.”
      ‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

2:19 I think what Martin Luther was actually saying here is that he was a 'conduit' through which the other books were written - achieved by suppressing his 'will' and that the only book he himself had written as a man with will - as Martin Luther the man - was (ironically, perhaps) the book about bondage to the will.

What is the solution of the bondage of the will? Pray that Jesus Christ would break the bondage of the will? Jesus is willing and able to break all kinds of bondage from devils and the flesh. The blood of Jesus has broken the bondage of addictions alcoholism sexual perversion greed pornography witchcraft satanism overeating. We hear of this sort of phenomena in many testimonies every day. Why should the demon that creates bondage of the will be any different or more difficult to Him?
