Well, for at least live singing, Matthew would Have to be there. And Ilkka not being part of the act would leave out a major part of the visual of the performance. Basically it would have been not quite worth it for just Poet's of The Falls to perform the portion of the song on their own or with just the backup dancers and Sam Lake doing the dancing.

i know next to nothing about alan wake 2 so this was one of the funniest things to see during the game awards. and you know what? i think it also piqued my interest in actually checking out the game so good job old gods of asgard!

@@MasDoucdo I absolutely need to play Alan Wake 1 to understand 2? Or am I able to jump straight into 2 and still enjoy it without getting crazy confused?

@@kathl.5598 Well maybe just a video explaning the lore of the first game should be enough, but if you have time the first game is also a masterpiece and it hasn't aged badly still very fun to play.

Memorizing those moves must have been super hard. And I didn't see anyone failing them. Fantastic job.

I had to mute this during the show because I hadn't bought the game yet. Heck, it's the reason I couldn't wait any longer; I immediately bought the game as this was happening.
I just played through it, so now I can watch this. 😆
Man, I love Remedy, & I love Alan Wake, I love Sam Lake, and I have for a decade. This is simultaneously the most glorious cheese and absolutely delightful. I know Remedy can be hit or miss for some people, but I have always been their weird, niche target audience. ❤
Full credit to Ilkka Villi for being willing to do choreography, and since Matthew Porretta is the thing that got me in the door on these games in the first place, absolutely thrilled to see him get a chance to sing again. David Harewood also did an amazing job, though in my mind, I can't help wonder how it might have gone with Lance Reddick.
    Thanks so much for posting!
