- Another rather short video (we will be returning to much longer format videos shortly) metal detecting at the site of a long-abandoned bush church site. A lovely two-coin Victorian silver 'spill' is unearthed plus some other 19th century relics including a nice four-hole button. Warning: Excessively long historical introduction, if you want to just see the recoveries without the jibber-jabber, jump to around the 03.00 minute mark. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing! Warren and Colleen.

Two silvers ! and soft soil from the rain !!!! thanks for another fun wander through history, always entertaining and educational .
I am a descendant of German Lutheran settlers who were hard toiling farmers in the Western district of Victoria. Your representation & account of life experiences of Qld Lutherans is accurate & no different to their counterparts in the other States. Your videos are informative and appreciated. The back story is important to me.
Very interesting episode, thanks Warren 👍👌
Beautiful coins Warren. Great historical description of the area. Thank you Sir.
Thank you Warren for telling us the history of the area, I found it very interesting and informative. The two silver coins were a marvellous find and though you found very little there there's always another day as I have seen an American detectorist go back to a site on many occasions and find more relics from a site that had been left for a few years. The earth looked a good quality to me not sandy like some places you go tto.I enjoy listening to you when you tell us the history behind a site, not many do and I found they were more interested in treasure not relics so stopped watching them years ago. I only follow three detecting channels now and you are the one I have been with the longest. I live on a farm that was church land centuries ago and its never been detected and I doubt will be in my lifetime. Nearly bedtime so goodnight and God bless you and Colleen love and hugs to you both Mary-Ellen UK
Enjoyed the history lesson, nice silver recoveries
‘Never hunted out’. Maybe you and Colleen can go back there sometime. I’m sure you would find what others missed. Thanks for another nice day out.
Thanks for the adventure and history! Finding places to detect that have silver aint to easy. History research is key.

That was a good video and the interesting talk regarding German immigrants. I remember reading where Property owners would meet the immigrant ships and the German people were selected first, for as you said they had rural backgrounds.North of my home town there was a German settlement where the settlers were given blocks of land for their working for the local authorities building roads. At night they cleared there land using lanterns to see by.
