I thought to myself that this was “my song” and that one day when I finally found the one, i would sing this song to him. 11 years later, I and my boyfriend (now husband) sang this song together at our wedding. It was like a dream to have my husband play this song on the guitar for me to sing along (those of you who are Jojo fans know how hard it is to find quality karaoke versions of her unpopular songs on RUclips). I first heard her on Radio Disney and became such a fan; I saw her at Topsfield Fair that following fall and she did so well on stage, it was such a natural flow of confidence with her that many singers today don't have. I intended to see her perform fully but my bratty cousin ruined it, that school year my then bf and I listened to Jojo A LOT, and when I was upset he would even try to cheer me up with singing her songs. I still am a Jojo fan today as I found out we both grew up in Massachusetts on opposite sides of the state on two different Capes. The other day I was listening to one of her songs at work and my boss told me he met Jojo as a young girl with her mom at a local pet shop he managed and he sold her a hamster. He was telling me how he KNEW she was gonna grow up and be a super star some day and wished she would stop by and say hi...I told him if she did...I would probably pass out because she's my favorite singer from the 2000's other than Hilary Duff and I've wanted to meet her for years. I personally prefer the original version too, because her voice sounded more like a young girl falling in love for the first time (like in the lyrics). I support all versions by Jojo no matter what though :D.
