    I have yet to come up with a reward system that we can stick with. It’s not like a priority for us, but I like the idea of adding a little something special for when the kids accomplish goals. Glad you were able to take a break!

      I hear you, it took me a while, but we’ve found something that has been working so well! Me too, and I’m looking forward to the next one 😁.

    Exactly how I’ve been feeling. Wanted to reevaluate everything and narrow down what I wanted to use. Then start with a new routine and it’s felt like starting a new year. Thought summer would be a good start. Still trying to figure it out. It I’m glad I’m not the only one!

      Nope, you are not alone!👍😊 I encourage you to take as muuuuch time as you need. At first, I was only going to take a week, and then I realized I really needed more than that. Taking those extra 2 weeks gave me enough time to rest, reassess, and prepare for all the new changes we would be implementing. I wish you so many blessings as you restart your year!

    There are times when we have to pull the plug and recharge. There's nothing wrong with that. As human thing get overwhelmed and we need to take a break and reevaluate. Happy that you and your husband came up with an solution that works best for your family. I enjoy watching TheFallCoFamily. I do remember her talking about the points system. I like that idea. I'm going to try it for the summer.
    I notice in your basket a number of the day sheet in the yellow pouch. If you don't mind me asking, where did you print that from?

    • @mama-yael
      @mama-yael  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for that affirmation mama! That number sheet is part of a free binder printable from Jady A. She’s got a fantastic RUclips channel and is a seller on TPT! She has a video on her channel about morning binders (butterflies on the binders) and I believe that’s where I found the link.

      💯Nope you are not mama! Yeah, it is really hard to go against the “grain” of what the majority is doing, but if it’s for you, its the best way to go 👍. And…you can always have a fun “goodbye spring, hello summer” celebration! I’m actually thinking about doing that just to mark the start to our new season of homeschool! 😊

    Hi love your channel I'm new into the homeschooling journey , I really love the way you explain things it makes it so much easier for me to choose curriculums I'm going to try LOE for language arts and I was wondering wich package to get the 99$ or the 199$ wich one is the best in your opinion? And does it includes grammar?
    Thanks in advanced 🙏💞
    Keep it up with this amazing videos !

    • @mama-yael
      @mama-yael  2 года назад +2

      Hey mama! Thank you so much and I'm so glad my videos have been helpful for you 😊. Since this is your first time purchasing, I would go with the complete set because it will give you all the materials you'll need for future levels. Also, I'm seeing that the $199 set is on sale for $175 👍! What grade are you purchasing for? I found that the higher levels of Foundations include more and more grammar concepts. It's definitely not in-depth though, and I purchased separate workbooks/curriculum for that.

      Hi thank you so much for taking the time for answering me. My son will be going into 1st grade this year. He is definitely a visual learner and he ask a lot of questions. I do notice he still needs help with reading but he is great in Math. I was trying to see wich level should I pick for him?

      @mama-yael  2 года назад +2

      @@lettygrodriguez30 You're welcome, mama! Hmmm, so I did start my daughter on Level B when she was in first grade. Mind you, she started this halfway through her 1st grade year. How is he with decoding sounds like "ee" as in feet and "ar" as in car? These are the types of phonogram sounds this level introduces. It also goes through more advanced phonics/spelling rules...all with fun games and activities of course.

    What device do you have for your kids?

    • @mama-yael
      @mama-yael  2 года назад +2

      Hi Dana! We have 2 Kindle Fire tablets for my youngest two, and then my oldest has an iPad. The iPad was originally my husband's, so when my oldest aged out of the apps for Kindle Fire, we cleared it and set her up with one app (Reading Eggs). In addition to that app, I am hoping to add a coding app soon! I will say...the iPad was very very challenging to lock down and get rid of apps (like AppleTV), but there are more learning apps geared toward older children that are only available for Android and iPad...so it was worth the angst LOL.
