The price of gold is telling how screwed we are
I sold all my silver in 2013. And bought gold and I did pretty well for myself.
Should have waited another 15 minutes, the "gold gods" said $2400+ was to much and pulled the plug. Back to $2385. Funny how they can subtract almost $50 off the price in less than 30 minutes...
Wait 15 more and it'll be going another way. Crazy day.
Try $2336 now and dropping fast. Lol, can’t win with gold and silver these days it seems. They aren’t permitted to have a good day.
Some hedge fund probably sold a bunch of contracts.
@@silver-en7kl Actually gold goes up regularly. Gold is 24% higher than it was in 2011 and 175% higher than it was in 1980. Silver is *down* by 41% since the 2011 high and down by nearly 44% since its 1980 high. This is in nominal dollar terms...adjusted for inflation silver should be in the triple digits. Gold and silver are not the same...one is infinitely more useful than the other and also far more suppressed.
@@FrancoM7747 Which begs the question...why do we tolerate a derivative setting the price of a physical commodity? Futures contracts were created to hedge positions...not create counterfeit supply to generate massive leverage to manipulate prices.
I bought an eagle and a buffalo yesterday to drive the price down.

I'm retired and I have been selling some. Mainly silver. Don't be too surprised by the buyback price. Gold buyback premiums are way down.

Goldman just announced their gold price forecast rose to $2700. JPM will probably announce a $3,000 price forecast.

@@9thman701 Big banks are usually way off with their forecasts but they’re also a “decent” indicator of market sentiment. I’ve got a good feeling that gold continues to blow past their estimates this year

Starting at 11:00AM EST, the banks looks like they flooded the market with paper gold. As of 1:00PM, Gold has dropped $70/oz. Knowing 11:00AM & 1:00PM are key times for take downs (especially on a Friday), my gut says it will probably stabilize here.
I watched this closely, too, on Friday (yesterday, 12 April). I could not believe how fast the price grew, then collapsed back down to parity. Definite paper manipulation taking place. I can only think that somebody made a lot of money trading gold ETF's yesterday
@@TizerWales just look up how banks use gold paper contracts to surpress the price.
IMO Paper gold is not worth the paper it's printed on. Always buy physical.
Silver is more the surprise, it hasn't been this price since 2013. Saying that 20% increase in 11 years is less than typical inflation and still not that exciting

retail otc buyback premiums are crashing hard because so many people are liquidating at these levels. If you are buying right now you are getting the best premium levels you may ever get again.

I stopped buying because I hold enough thankfully. I do hold 3X silver than gold just cause it’s easier and I Love Morgans
I did slow down on the in my hand physical because I felt like I had one location saturation. Going to a vaulting service for a 2 quick ounces in Nov and Jan with a tad of silver at 10 ounces on a no premium sale was well timed though. 4k cost basis now over 5k.
I also love the Morgans but also the 1964 Kennedy halves. These are my favorite US 90% silver coins. I don't believe in grading bullion coins but do have about
125 Morgans in a felt bag that are all AU or better quality and are great looking coins. Most are 1880s and 1890s with a few late 1870s, early 1900s, and 1921s.

I am a bit mad I did not leverage in to silver when it just sat there after gold went up. Never did put enough behind my convictions. I bought some with cash. Though it did make me happier to see PAAS . Forgot that had added that silver exposure last year along with a bar here and there and a role of dimes.

poorly defined point. Personally, I am a bit unhappy about gold's rapid rise. I still need 25 ozs. to complete my gold stacking goal and sure would like to see a major price dip
to reduce the cost of those ozs. When I look back on my life, I know how blessed it has been. Yes, there were obstacles, health issues, lots of physical pain, but also some
very nice blessings via having great parents who always gave me what I needed and left what I wanted up to me, a terrific lady to share my life and be an able helper, 2 great
kids who are established and doing very well, and 2 grand kids who are on their way to success as well. Also have a little great grand daughter who is 3 years old and just as
bright and shiny as a new penny. So, back to gold... did I buy at $1800 a while ago? No, but it was close enough for me. Made 2 buys last Sept and Oct at $1820 and $1850,
buying 3 ozs. both times. Not great timing but good enough. Still looking for a price dip below $2k, hopefully sometime in July or August. If we get that, it will be really good.
If not, then I am still happy with the stack I have. 😀

Where did he say gold ? I don’t see that anywhere did I miss something ? Considering silver was at $20 just months ago and this is not the first time I have seen people talking about silver being 1:1 to gold . This would be a pretty normal assumption.

Yea they tampered with it once it got over 2400. They can't have the natural price discovery of precious metals continue like that. They have to tamp lol. It's okay though because after they are done, it will shoot right back up. This time they really can't stop it moving up outside of momentary tampering. JP Morgan PM's department sweating right now.
Someone really stomped on gold. When I turned on Bloomberg this AM it was up $38. Probably sold a ton of contracts.
@@FrancoM7747 Yup. They couldn't let it run away and each day they have to tamp it a bit. Today was a huge reversal so you're right, someone big dumped a ton of contracts at one time.

Watched the charts 📈, they were predicting a pullback or a breakout. Very glad I didn’t short!
@@DrSchor charts a predictor of “probability”. The patterns give a clue about what may occur and you can utilize that information for investing. Sometimes you have to trust your gut. Even though they indicated a pullback, with geopolitical issues, inflation, etc. I stayed away from placing a short. Another reason I prefer my physical safety hedge

$2700 gold seems reasonable and maybe a bit conservative by the end of the year. Unfortunately, war in the Middle East will spike oil and commodity prices for a big chunk of the rest of the year.
IMO, there are more than enough reasons for gold to rise in price without wars fouling the landscape in various places. Practically every fiat currency that ever existed
has died and gone to money hell for the very same reason: over printing. Between that and a massive debt growing ever larger, it amazes me that a lot more people
aren't into stacking gold and silver. This kind of benign financial neglect among the peoples of the world will not serve them well at all.
