I love your quilt. Like you I do not like winter, I live on the West side of Missouri, north of KCI. You are amazing with all the large projects you are working on with beautiful stitching. I am doing my version of 12 by 12, I am working on 6 wips . Each hour start will be worked on for 45 minutes then a 15 minute break and for the next 45 minutes I will work on a quilt and then another break. I have learned that if I sit and stitch for more than 1 hour at a time I will pay for it later with pain and soreness for days so I take lots of breaks. Your stitching and quilting is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your time with us.

I tried WIPGO last year but never got the hang of how it all worked. I've been asking around on various FB pages and now, finally, understand. Going to give it another try in 2023.
I have Halloween Hyjinx but have not started and it's not on my 2023 plans (WIPGO or Brr-ingo). After seeing yours and your mention of others stitching along with you, it makes me want to start.

That is so special that your daughters designed a family sampler for you to stitch! Great idea! Where do you get the comic book boards? I have cut up foam core to wrap my fabric around but that is a little bulky! Would like to get something thinner. I have all my fat quarters done that way in a drawer! I cut the foam core into 5” x 6” pieces & wrap the material around it! It’s so easy to see the colors & pick what I want when finishing stitched projects!

I use to order them from Amazon but I found a comic book store and was going to buy the m there but when I got there and told him what I was doing with them, he gave me 3 big boxes of used boards free. We did give him some money for them anyway. They change them out in their store when they look a little worn. But they were great condition for me. You might check at a comic book store and see if the do the same.

We did our WIP parade today and I showed my Hi-Jinx and mentioned you were doing it also. Yours makes the pattern really come to life. It’s sitting next to my sofa to pick up my daily square (or more) per night. The pattern your daughters did for you is priceless. I would be in tears of joy. My girls like my cross stitch but they don’t do it themselves. I still hope at some time they will want to learn. We do have a lot of the same taste.
