I loved seeing all of your projects. You both do beautiful stitching and finishing. I need to look at more Brenda Gervais patterns. I have a few and I’d like more. I did have a harder time hearing you. I had the volume on my iPad turned all the way up. I had just finished watching another FlossTube video where I had no problem with sound. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful stitchy pieces. I’m looking forward to seeing more.

All of your projects are so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing and doing the videos. I so look forward to and enjoy them! My question was regarding Winter's Brew linen. Thanks again!
Again, a wonderful video! I enjoy every minute! You two are so inspiring. Great ffos, Fossen WIPS, starts, quilty goodness, wool projects! The list goes on and on! Enjoy the season! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Hi ladies:-))) I so enjoy your videos love seeing all the things you have accomplished since the last time totally inspiring!!! Nancy your sleds are so cute I’m going to try my hand at making them for my grandkids !! Cathy I love the snowmen you stitched on perforated paper as soon as I saw that I went to find the book!!! Again thx ladies for the inspiration !!!! ❤
I just love spending time stitching with you both! The sleds are adorable! I’m so inspired by all your Christmas finishes! I need all the Brenda G mice! Have a wonderful couple of weeks!
Thank you so much for mentioning us! We love your channel! I would love to see the turners you used on the arms and the legs for the Tilda Christmas doll! Can you tell us the name of that pattern? I love the quilts!! And the box Cathy’s husband made out of the ruler! It was all great 😊 Can’t wait to see the rest of your Christmas finishes next time! ~ Liz
You have all the Christmas mice covered! So cute!!! I’m so impressed at how much you girls get done! Love spending time with you! Have a wonderful holiday season!
Had to laugh when your kids didn't want to stop the stockings-- mine (24 & 28) were disappointed one year when I didn't get them the advent calendars with the little chocolates in them. I have them ready for tomorrow 🤣. They also have to have those chocolate oranges in their stockings. Isn't it funny how the small things mean so much?! Beautiful stitching-- I had to go to 123stitch several times to add to my wish list. Happy holidays!
I love watching your videos because I absolutely love your selection of stitch patterns. I don’t felt or quilt but I do stitch and your finishes and fully finishes are beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration.
Kathy and Nancy…thank you for the video podcast…thank you for sharing all of your FFO’s, FO’s, whips, crafts, and quilting…such an awesome time watching you two gals…best wishes and happy stitching to each of you❤❤
Hello. Your flosstube popped up in my feed today so it is my first time watching. I'm very glad to watch you! Wow! Do you girls get a lot done!! I love your easy, chatting style and the wide array of projects.❤ I have subscribed and will go back and watch the others. Maybe I will see you at the Jingle Ball. I finally decided to take the leap last night. I will look for you on IG too.👩💻🙋♀️
Just a fantastic, fantastic Flosstube--EVERY SINGLE TIME--you both are so creative and so industrious and just lovely with each other--keep 'em coming--sure appreciate your efforts!
Love the video. I really like videos that show cross stitch in progress finished and fully finished. I have done many many Brenda Gervais patterns. I also do alot of Prairie Schooler patterns.
I think that Dollar Tree also sells double sided tape, in the crafting section. Winter Rose Manor looks great! The Pineberry Lane "Joy" pattern is a freebie, and it's on their website. I just stitched that a couple weeks ago. I'll probably be a bit late for the Jingle Ball. I have an appointment at 4:15 Friday, and it's 1/2 hour from home, so I'll surely be "fashionably late". :)
Could you either show or explain in detail how you stuff your pin pillows with quilt batting? Love the flattened look of them. So many beautiful stitches!
Hi Cheryl! I start by stuffing all four corners first, then just add batting around the whole outside edge and work toward the middle. I kind of flatten the pillow down as I go so it doesn’t get too puffy. I just add enough batting to fill it enough to straighten out all the edges but not so it bulges anywhere. When I’ve got enough batting in to make the pillow the thickness I want, I stitch the opening closed and kind of mash the whole thing down so there aren’t any bulges. Sometimes I iron the pillow as well to flatten it some more. I don’t like puffy pillows, so I don’t over stuff them, if that makes sense. Let me know if I answered your question. 😊
Thanks, Kathy! Hands On Design came up with the idea of stitching on PP and putting it on foam core then mounting it in a shadow box frame or something similar. My husband has been making little boxes for me out of yardsticks, so he made one the right size for the snowmen. I love how it turned out! Let me see yours when it’s finished! 😊
My gosh, you ladies are busy bees. I loved everything. I sit here and was ticking off, I want to do this, I want to do this. What fabric are you using for Parker’s stocking? Ladies I hope you have a blessed Christmas and all the joy you bring others is returned ten fold.
I love all of your finishes. So inspiring! I struggle with seeing on the smaller count fabrics. I’m wondering if you use some kind of magnifier & if so, which one. Keep on stitch in’
Hi! I sometimes use magnification when stitching on higher count linen. I have a floor stand magnifier that I ordered from Amazon that is about 8” x 10” and lighted so you can really see a large section of your fabric at one time. I don’t know what brand it is, but I paid about $80.00 for it this past summer. 😊
Do you have any tips for affordable stocking stuffers it seems like they always cost the most money! I do my grandkids and their parents it adds up fast!
Hi! They do add up fast! I like to get little things for each person that they like to use day to day - post it notes, pencils, Sharpie pens, glue sticks, super glue in little bottles, books of needles for stitchers, little scissors, I look through the shelves at the stores at travel size stuff for small nail files and lotions and little things like that. I also hit the dollar store to see what little things I can find there. $1.00 Lotto tickets are fun, too. I hope that helps! Cathy 😊
I would like to know what book the Santa is in. I just love all your finishes I am getting close to a Winter Rose Manor finish to. I have the same frame for mine. Happy stitching ladies great video.
Your stuff is amazing and so inspiring. I wish I had the talent sewing you ladies have. What brand of aida do you find dyes the best? I would like to try it but don't know which fabric to try.
You ladies are wonderful! I just recently discovered your floss tube and have enjoyed seeing your stitching. Nancy I love your WinterRose Manor pincushion on the fabric you dyed. Did you use all the called for colors. Cathy I was curious how you became a model stitcher for Teresa Kogut. I believe she lives in Michigan and you in Idaho has me wondering. I live in central Montana so not too far from you ladies. You both inspire me to stitch more!
Hi Maureen! Nancy did not use the called for colors, she used Victorian Motto colors from her stash to stitch Winter Rose Manor. If you would like a list of them, let us know. I have always watched Teresa Kogut’s floss tube and in 2020 she was getting ready for Nashville Market in March and had a small cow design that needed stitching for Market and she wasn’t stitching at that time. I just commented on her video that I could stitch it quickly and get it right back to her if she needed help. She sent it right out, I stitched it in two days and sent it right back, in time for Market. Then in 2021 she needed a sampler stitched for a Silver Needle retreat and all her model stitchers were busy so she sent me a message and asked if I thought I could get the sampler stitched in time for the retreat. I told her I thought I could, so she sent it and I stitched it in about 6 weeks, which was exactly when she needed it. She then asked if I could stitch the Halloween Sampler for release this fall and I stitched it this past winter for her. The samplers I’ve stitched for her are the biggest pieces I’ve ever stitched! I really love to do smalls! So I keep telling her I want to do smalls, but she sent me another big one, even bigger than Halloween Sampler, and I’m working on it now. Luckily, there’s no deadline for it! 😊
@@sewnsews6389 Cathy thank you for responding so quickly! I enjoyed learning how you became a model stitcher for Teresa Kogut! Your stitches are beautiful, so I can see why she has you stitch for her. I love Teresa Kogut's designs but they are usually sooo big! I enjoy stitching smalls also. I do have a sampler of Teresa's started but have not stitched on it forever! I need to be like Nancy and work on getting my wip number down. I am currently stitching a Shepherd's Bush stocking for my newest grandson. Cathy, I am looking forward to seeing your next model stitch for Teresa. If Nancy is willing to share her colors for the Winter Rose Manor Pincushion, I would love to have them. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!
Love the ruler box with the snow men. Can you share your husband's dimensions? I'm going to show my husband the video. I had screenshot your IG page. It's so adorable. Thanks.
Could you tell me how you fasten the stitching to the sled? Do you just fold the excess fabric to the back? Do you trim it close? Hot glue? I've never done that and would love to make a 1st Christmas for my g-granddaughter.
Hi Jyl! No fabric is used. You stitch the designs on 14 count perforated paper that you can buy from 123 Stitch. Once stitched, you just cut out one hole away from your stitching and attach it to the sled with double sided tape. 😊
I love your fabric that you dyed yourself. You mentioned using Rit dye Pearl gray, do you only use the gray alone and do you bake your fabric? I’ve dyed with Rit dye but don’t bake mine, or use salt as some have mentioned ! I appreciate your help as I absolutely love that coloring !
I think Nancy just used the Pearl Gray dye. If anything else, she may have coffee or tea dyed over it. She doesn’t bake the fabric or use salt, just dunks it until she likes the color. It always dries a little lighter than it looks wet, but if it’s too light, just dye it again. Hope that helps! 😊
Nancy, are all the patterns you used for your sleds Lizzie and Kate? Also, you you tell me where you found the beads you added with their names? I just found your channel and love your videos. Thank you in advance. Paulette
Yes, all the sleds are Lizzie Kate patterns and you can get them from 123 Stitch. Nancy found the alphabet beads at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry making section. Thanks for watching! 😊
