This is why: it takes months or even years to finish it, yet he finishes them in around an hour or so. I get that it would be quicker than the actual building because he’s already made it so he doesn’t need to check the blueprints so often, but still, taking an hour to remove metal parts, get new ones, paint it and let it dry, basically dismember the whole animatronic and put it back together would not take just an hour. Also, where does William get all the materials such as metal parts and paint? There are ways to fix this: Let William ask you (the creator of this AU) to bring whatever he needs in, or have someone deliver the supplies for him.
