@@LucyAyler Lucy, I'm a Tampa Bay native who is exiled in PA...had no choice but to watch it on ESPN. I had to watch the pre-game with that idiot Messier with his rictus grin and shameless Ranger flag waving. However, tonight it was such a pleasure to see this guy change his tune!! He had to give the Bolts the credit they deserved, but still said that Igor Shesterskin was the superior goalie. Impossible to say. I'll take Vasi any day.
The Bolts have never REALLY gotten the true accolades they deserve. If it were one of the "old guard" cold climate teams going for a third Cup...you can imagine. It's these pundits, guys who were playing when it was bashing an enemy's skull around with tree branches, that need to fade away.
But, now it's ON TO COLORADO!! GO BOLTS!!!
Wow. Hearing Mish yell "BACK TO THE STANLEY CUP FINAL, BABYYYY" is just incredible.

Once the Bolts shook off the 9 day rust after the first 2 games it was a lock down special like they delivered to the Panthers to the tune of 4 games in a row. 🙂
Which makes me wonder how so many are so insistent that Colorado is sweeping Tampa. Gonna be a good series, but it's very clear that not too many outside of Tampa actually watch lightning games and see how great this team is defensively. Imo both Colorado and Tampa have extremely full plates heading into the final. Winner will be the clear best team of this season, not much arguing anyone can do at this point.
If only they knew what was coming after game two. I will now rewatch every games highlights and watch the tables slowly turn lmao
Ice hockey is probably the most nerve-racking sport to watch….especially in the playoffs and especially when your team is down in the series… I got so frustrated by the Rangers tying goal… I briefly turned off the radio broadcast and then saw they had scored so quickly… couldn’t believe missed the call live… which is why your highlights of the radio broadcast are incredible and awesome!!!! I remember clearly years ago THE BIG DAWG on 620 WDAE here in Tampa use to always say the LIGHTING would eventually win many cups. Since he passed of cancer before they made this incredible run, every milestone I like to take a moment and remember him and his words. Steve Duemig RIP and I know you're smiling down on this incredible run the Bolts are having. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

I love how Dave Mishkin casually mentioned it would make sense that it was Trouba who hit Corey Perry…. That was a penalty but more of a clean hit on Perry aka he didn’t go directly at Perry’s head… but I thought that attempted elbow to the head at Palat the previous game was egregious and cowardly….Trouba also showed his cowardice as he clearly held up on Pat Maroon knowing that maroon would’ve clocked him if he cross checked him after the whistle….

Stamkos hits the catching glove BEFORE the puck goes in and it took the league like 5 seconds to call it good. Barely enough time to watch one angle. So f. u. and your whining about refs.

Second goal was clearly goalie interference by Stamkos. Watch the slo- mo from the side and you'll see that Stamkos hits Shesterkin's catching glove BEFORE the puck goes in and it took all but 3 seconds for a review. NHL politics at its worst. The NHL should be ashamed that they let Tampa win on that kind of goal. I guess a possible 3 peat is more important than fair play. Tampa out played us for sure but should've won on a legit goal and not a political one. I'm sure they'll pull the same bs on Colorado.
Hey, you watch that replay again. The puck is already past the goalie before the glove hit. He couldn’t of used his glove to stop it at that point. Which is why it was such a quick review. He didn’t impede his ability

So they didn’t actually review it for goalie interference, the review was if the puck was kicked in which is what Igor was complaining about. If NYR thought it was interference then they should have challenged the goal, they didn’t because they know the puck was already past Igor before contact was made. Cope harder.
