I listened till the end. It sounds to me like there is no real disagreement about anything consequential here. The only disagreement is about interpretation of a few words. Let's not pretend we don't know what she is talking about. When you "struggle" with a particular issue, it is often a case where there are opposing desires creating tension; a desire to satisfy the flesh and a desire to please God. All she is saying is that as a believer you can sometimes still experience that desire to satisfy the flesh. And we can still move on, crucify flesh and walk in the Spirit and work out our salvation even if that same desire resurfaces tomorrow again, or perhaps never goes away fully. There is nothing unbiblical about that so I am not seeing a valid reason to challenge her perspective on this.

@robertsimmonds7745 I think at the root of all of this is our ability (or inability) to change our desires. We can use our will to regulate our thoughts and actions but only the Lord can truly change our desires. But even while some unholy desires (or orientations or inclinations) remain, we can still be sons of God, still pursue holiness, still appreciate Christ's sacrifice, etc. That's my interpretation. Consider also that he is responding to what was said in clips and was likely clarified further in the full video. I'm just suggesting that in full context, there really was very little need to even respond to that video. Anybody can be biblically fact checked but what is the point if it ultimately does not change much about the main takeaways?

    • @davesenatus5566
      @davesenatus5566 6 месяцев назад +4

The point of the video obviously was not to challenge her perspective since that's not what he did. The title simply asks whether or not it is biblical and all he did was correct some minor things while going into greater detail. The video is very educational.

Well truth be told whether heterosexual or homosexual...people struggle with thoughts at times that they must bring I to subjection to Christ. I never understand why people make homosexuality stand out above other sins....in particular people who are struggling with heterosexual activity i.e. adultery, fornication etc..there is no deep biblical explanation needed just because someone has been "delivered" from homosexuality. The same applies to ALL sin that we ALL deal with in the flesh.

Brother Corey, I am a supporter of this channel and I know indeed God is using you greatly on this platform and in general 🙏🏾 Nontheless, I’m not entirely sure of the essence/ purpose behind this video as I believe you both came to the same conclusion? The goal is Seeking Christ and having an encounter with Him so that we may recive newness of life and be cleansed of our transgressions. I have come across a few of Jackie’s videos whee she discusses the same topic and one thing I will say is that she is very forthright and insistent on the need for consecration and sanctification, the need and the desire to please the most high God comes before anything so I do believe her heart is in the right place.. Moreover, she is the one who has faced these challenges ( in terms of sexual attraction towards women) and has lived previously in this sin so she would have a bit of an idea about what it means to struggle with it.. The point is that she is denying herself and preaching denying one’s self and the pleasures of the flesh which our Lord Jesus has told us to do..

STRUGGLING does NOT indicate that a person has an unchanged heart. NOT having a struggle and freely doing things at enmity with God, DOES. Give those desires over to GOD and die to your flesh, DAILY. Temptation doesn't mean you aren't saved. Giving into those thoughts, dwelling on them, fantasizing about them, not taking those thoughts captive under Christ, are what get us all in trouble and would indicate an unchanged person.

  • @MyownxOasis
    @MyownxOasis 6 месяцев назад +17

    Blessing Bro. Corey,
Just a consideration: I believe every sin begins in the heart/mind which is why we are instructed to take every thought captive. Further, we are only tempted by our own desires (James 1), i dont think we could ever be tempted to do something that didnt appeal to our flesh in one way or another.
So, I think that her saying that there should be more emphasis in prayer for someone who's coming from that lifestyle to "have a heart that desires to honor God above those attractions" is spot on. I would also argue that what you said in the video agrees with the idea that so long as it remains a thought that is redirected by the Holy Spirit (i.e., a sinful desire that is taken captive before it bears fruit), that person can and should be still considered a brother or sister in Christ.
Thank you for the video and willingness to tackle this topic!

This is why we should ask God for forgiveness and repent every day because, we will think, do and say things out of anger or frustration that's not of God because, we're still in our flesh. The flesh fights against the spirit and vice-versa, but Jesus has already won the battle for us. That's why God had sacrifice His only Son to die on the cross for our sins because He knew that, as long as we are in our flesh we will slip and fall. But will get back up and start the race over again. I repent every day and pray before I go to bed. Christianity is a daily walk, until God call us home.

    Romans 7:15-20
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

As Christians, we should make it a habit to repent on a daily basis because we may have immoral, impure thoughts, have said or done certain things that were not of God. It doesn't only have to be homosexuality to repent, it's for all sins. As we diligently reading His word, fasting and praying, God is still working on us on the inside because He knows what we're going through. Even in our struggles, Matthew 5:48 says - [ Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect] He paid the price for our sins on the cross with the shedding of His blood...Keep fighting the good fight of faith because he who endures to the end shall be saved.

As a former homosexual for over a decade and dealing with other sexual desires, I can say that after I was born again I’ve had almost no physical desire at all where I’m in bondage over it. However, I do have some thoughts that come to my mind sometimes, but I always go to my Bible, read scripture, pray to God about it, and find other outlets to keep me busy and it definitely helps. But, the remedy for this of course like I said before is reading scripture and obeying the Lord and he will provide the strength and guidance we need each day and to be faithful. It’s been about three months since I was born again, and most of my desires are almost gone, it’s incredible. What the Lord can do and what the Holy Spirit has done in me thus far! For anyone who struggling with those desires, you’re not alone, and if you stay faithful to the Lord, he and the Holy Spirit will continue to help you. Sorry for this being a little long, just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss any thoughts because I feel that they’re important to share! All the glory to God alone! ✝️🙏🏽

Most excellent truth spoken near the end of this video.
Any time I tried to push myself as far away from pornography as I could, I returned shortly thereafter. It is only by focusing on my Savior Jesus Christ that I have been given any victory in that sin. Does that mean I never struggle with pornography anymore? No, but by God’s grace, I refocus on Him and that is how He helps overcome that temptation.

I would be very carful in your analysis of what she is saying because I see you are missing the point. If you steal something from some one and NEVER pay it back for whatever reason but then you vow before got to NEVER do it again. (repent) and your actions have changed so that you never do it again but you have a desire to steal but don't, are you still a theif? If you stop because you made a vow to God does that not matter that you are honoring God? If you continue to pray that God would take the desire from you so you don't have these thoughts and you stay away from people or things that would draw you back in does that not matter? I think Christians don't truly understand the importance of obedience regardless of how you feel.

One deceptive trait you can have is being led or live through your heart and feelings. Which is dangerous and can lead you back into sin. The heart is devilishly wicked. Just because you feel some kind of way doesn’t make it ok.

Sin will always trip up a Christian when it’s entertained by the flesh but it’s giving those repetitive thoughts to Christ and denying our sinful nature, so they don’t mess with our hearts. We have to remember that we need Christ’ strength DAILY to lean onto. We ourselves have no power outside of Jesus. Having negative thoughts and giving them to Christ is where He meets us to help us. We’ve already overcame by the blood of the lamb and the power of our testimony although old thoughts may come up because no one is perfect. Christ is the center focus at the end of the day to all of our worries, thoughts and problems. 🙏🏽

Hey Brother Corey, I don’t know if you remember me but I’m the Jamaican guy who you had on your stream some time ago.
Just an update on my interactions with my Oneness Church
Well I’m officially not apart of that Ministry anymore. I have been appealing to the Pastor over the past couple of months to answer some questions about the Bible and His doctrine and he refused repeatedly and today He categorically tell me that he won’t have any conversation with me. He no longer wants me to Preach, He no longer wants me to teach Sunday school or be involved in the leadership decisions. He is now telling people in the church to avoid me cuz I’m a wolf and I’m teaching strange doctrines.
I sent 20 questions to him and his wife whom he has made an elder of the church. He refused to respond to my questions so I sent him my own answers and after he read them he said that I am on a different path and he is in a different lane so he won’t have a response for me. So I told him well I cannot serve under his leadership if he won’t at least have a conversation with me. So he said ok. I really feel a way though. That homosexual Minister in his church who had a viral video of himself performing O.S. On another man that was released a little of a year ago but he is now restored back to his role and function and is even the assistant director of the Sunday school dept. The Church is his property by the way because he bought it under his name.
Here is the list of questions I sent him and my biblical responses to each question.
I AM SAYING THIS HERE FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOMEONE ELSE WHO MAY BE IN SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES. IF YOU ARE APART OF A ONENESS APOSTOLIC FAITH, YOU NEED TO GET OUT NOW!!!!

      My Biblical Beliefs
      1. Is the Bible the only infallible, authoritative, sufficient & inspired Word of God? (If not what else is)
      - Yes it is

      2 Tim 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.
      1 Peter 1:20-21
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture becomes a matter of someone’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
      2. How are we saved?
      - By Grace alone, Through Faith alone, By Christ alone
      Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
      3. Does the Holy Spirit dwell in every one who has placed their faith in Christ Jesus?
      - Yes He does
      Ephesians 1:13-14
13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise, 14 who is a first installment of our inheritance, in regard to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
      1 Corinthians 12:13
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
      Galatians 3:2
2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
      4. Is physical water baptism a requirement for salvation?
      - No it is not
      Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Acts 1:5
5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (This is not physical water baptism)
      1 Peter 3:21
21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you-not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience-through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, (again this is not physical water baptism)
      5. What is tongues?
      - The Biblical Tongues is Known Human Languages that can be understood.
      Acts 2:6
6 And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language.
      1 Corinthians 14:14
14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unproductive. 15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit, but I will sing with the mind also.
      1 Corinthians 12:1-3
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be unaware. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
      6. Must a Christian show evidence of speaking in tongues as the sign of having the Holy Spirit in them?
      - No they don’t
      1 Corinthians 12:30
30 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?

      7. Can a Christian have a demon?
      - No a Christian cannot have a demon
      John 8:36
36 So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
      Matthew 12:25-29
25 And knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and no city or house divided against itself will stand. 26 And if Satan is casting out Satan, he has become divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if by Beelzebul I cast out the demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore, they will be your judges. 28 But if I cast out the demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or, how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first ties up the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. (Jesus is the strong man who cannot be tied up so no one can enter his house)
      8. Do the offices of Apostles & Prophets still active today?
      - No I don’t
      Ephesians 2:20-22
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
      1 Corinthians 3:11
11 For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
      9. Is a Christian under a curse for not tithing?
      - No a Christian cannot be under a curse
      Galatians 3:13
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”-
      Romans 8:1
Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus
      10. Is the man Christ Jesus God?
      - Yes He is
      Matthew 16:16
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
      Titus 2:13
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
      11. Is the man Christ Jesus God the Father?
      - No He is not
      John 1:1-2
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.
      Hebrews 1:8-9
8 But regarding the Son He says,
“Your throne, God, is forever and ever,
And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.”
      John 14:23
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.
      Luke 3:21-22
21 Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well pleased.”
      12. Is the Worship of God confined to a Church Building?
      - No it’s not
      John 4:23-24
23 But a time is coming, and even now has arrived, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

      13. Is it Adultery for a Man to marry another woman while His first wife is still alive?
      - Yes it is
      Luke 16:18
18 “Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.
      14. Is the taking of Communion mandatory for a Christian?
      - Yes it is
      Luke 22:19
And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
      15. Can a person be a Homosexual and still be a Christian or serve in Ministry?
      - No such a person cannot
      1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
      16. Do the following passages serve as the basis for the qualifications of an Elder/Pastor in the Church 1 Tim 3, Titus 1:7, 1 Peter 5:3? (If not what are the qualifications)
      - Yes it is
      17. Can a woman meet the Qualifications of an Elder/Pastor? (If yes why)
      - No a woman doesn’t meet the qualifications due to the aforementioned passages
      1 Timothy 2:12
12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
      18. Can a Christian lose their Salvation?
      - No a Christian cannot lose their salvation
      John 10:27-28
27 My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
      John 6:37-39
37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.
      Jeremiah 32:40
40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me.
      19. What is the error if any with the Apostolic Faith?
      - Too much reliance on external manifestations and emotionalism and not enough reliance on scripture.
      - Teachings are structured towards encouraging persons to seek after signs and wonders for validation of the Spirit.
      - There is not an emphasis placed on the adherence to scripture therefore resulting in biblical ignorance.
      - The hermeneutical approach towards scripture is deeply flawed because of an over spiritualization of the text and consistently allegorizing the interpretation of what is written resulting in the eisegeting of passages and reading one’s own interpretation into the text.
      Matthew 16:4
4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So he left them and departed.
      1 Peter 2:2
2 and like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
      2 Timothy 2:15
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
      20. Do Christians today have the same supernatural powers to demonstrate at will as the Apostles and Prophets in the book of Acts?
      - No I don’t believe the same manifestation of the Spirit like what took place in the early Church is active today in the church but I believe God still can do whatever He pleases through whomever He pleases
(My Opinion. I have no definitive passage that says that but based on the historical sequence of what is written I am making my assumptions)

Your first mistake is that μαλακοι andἀρσενοκοῖται are verbal nouns. They indicate actions. The KJV translates this oddly, and we can see all of the other conditions around this one are speaking of actions, and so are these. The first appears to refer to dressing and acting in an effeminate manner (cross dressing), and the later to sodimites, those who engage in sodomy. "Homosexuals" is acceptable from a KJV POV because the word at that time was associated with the act. However, if one is not engaging in homosexual sex, they aren't sodomites.
So, you've missed the point of the text.
Let me give another example. Let's take adultery. If you find yourself attracted to women that you aren't married to, that is associated with adultery. But no one would say that you are guilty of adultery just because you experience that attraction. But almost all men experience that attraction. Are all those men unsaved because they experience sexual attraction that is associated with adultery?
The problem at its core is that homosexual attraction is a subconscious abnormality that may result from a variety of events, including sexual abuse. Can it be reversed? It is unclear. There are clearly ex-gays. But there are also those who never escape this sickness. And to say that people who have suffered to the point that their subconscious has messed up their sexual attraction cannot be Christians is unloving and ignorant.

You are right about the verbal nouns. You can't be effeminate if you don't exhibit any effeminate gestures/characteristics. Those gestures like using a feminine voice, flipping of hair, bending of wrist, and constant leg crossing are actions. People go through sinful thoughts, but as they grow in Christ, they become mature.
We Christians sometimes don't like reality because we don't collect data. I have interviewed many people who became born again and dropped homosexuality. All of them nurse the thought in the first 3yrs of stopping the behavior, but as time goes on, the thought fades away. None of them fall for it cos they keep rejecting and praying against the thought. It's the same situation as drug and porn addicts. A few might experience the miracle of stopping and all thoughts disappear the same day they stopped. I have not seen one, but I have interviewed many. If you want to get true data, don't interview them like a Pastor because many won't really tell the truth to avoid judging them. Ask like a counselor, then you will hear the truth.
I think what Corey is trying to correct is that the lady preacher is technically saying it's ok. People shouldn't accept the thought as normal. They must keep rejecting it and as time passes by it may fade away.

Grace and peace be onto you from God, our father in the Lord Jesus.
Unfortunately, you have missed the theological exit on this particular video.
JHP- is pointing the believer to the standard of God. If a believer is struggling with any version of sexuality, it is the washing of the heart by the blood of the Lord Jesus, that will deliver and set free that believer. Flesh will never be saved. Flesh/old nature will consistently tempt, bring back memories, entice, etc. The believer will have to bring those wicked imaginations to the obedient, or under the obedience of the Lord Jesus, the Christ.
What I am hearing is that you are placing same-sex sin on a hierarchy or ranking. You should not do that, that is biblically dangerous to give seniority to any unrighteous behavior. The Lord Jesus Christ called us to holiness, not heterosexuality. Heterosexuality is for procreation and reproduction. that’s for earth. Holiness is for Heaven to get there.

IF we prefer God over everything else, wouldn't we be continually in the Word of God? Jesus said that all adulterers and wordmongers (promiscuous) will be in the lake of fire (along with liars, etc...). Rev. 21:8. Christ also said that having lustful thoughts is equal to adultery. Matt 5:28. @hayeschrist1 below sums it up very well. Continuing in the Word is the KEY to being saved OUT of slavery to sin. John 8:31-36.
Does no one fear God anymore? We should.
Paul taught that sin has no more dominion over those saved out of slavery to sin. Rom. 6:14. And he said that our warfare has the power of God, and we can "cast down imaginations".
Many are called, few are chosen. Will we be "chosen" if we don't continue in the Word and get saved out of slavery to sin? Are we even saved if we are still slaves to sin? Matt 20:16.

Ive told my students there isnt one sin that is outside the ability of man. Meaning some lean closer to some sins than others. The times i face my sin, repented and by the grace of God triumph over one, a different one popped up. Thats why we are called to pick up our cross daily. It humbles us to know our imperfections and reminds us to always keep God first because we will have trails and tribulations and struggle with different sins, so when we fall He is there to pick us back up. Living in it, accepting sins as ok and promoting it is the problem.

    @deeperlife5689 Месяц назад

I watched a different video she did on this topic, for me the main issue is that seems to be holding on to her old identity and profess that she has a new identity. She seems to try and justify the desire by saying well I’m not doing the act, of course the act is sin but the desire CAN also be sin, it can lead back to the act. Same sex attraction in and of itself is not sin. It can be considered as a temptation like many others we face on a daily basis. When we face those temptations we fight them we flee from them It is the mind not just the act that needs to change. Perry does not mention the process of sanctification in all of this, there are still sinful things I think about but when those thoughts come and I identify them I recognise them for what they are I don’t just say it’s OK to have those desires because I am not acting them out. I pray, study the word and allow the Lord to deal with my heart on the matter I don’t say because I wanted to do it but didn’t do the act it was OK. Ultimately the desire for something sinful can very easily lead us back to a place we don’t need to be.

There is a difference between what you think and what you do. God judges what you do and not what you think. Ultimately, what you think can be made manifest by what you do, but it is important to make that distinction. For example, if I had an improper thought of a women in my mind, it may not manifest into anything. However, if I indulge in that thought it may cause me to act upon it. The sin is the act and not the thought itself.

Jesus did say that, but your quote does require an explanation. For example, Jesus says that whoever looks at a women to lust after her has already committed adultery. The key words are look and lust and they are both verbs, indicating an act. The person who looks at the women for the purpose of lusting after her is committing the physical act of looking and lusting. This is very different to having a thought in your mind. In fact, your scripture reference supports my argument because shows somebody acting upon a thought and not the thought itself. @@bobbybowers356

In Matthew 5:28 Jesus said, "whoever looks at a women to lust for has already committed adultery with her in his heart." The key words are look and lust. These words are both verbs that describe an action taking place. For example, the person was looking at the women for the purpose of lusting after her. She is correct, when you talk about salvation it's not an event, but a process. When a person receives Christ, their spirit is immediately delivered, their mind is being delivered by the washing of the Word of God and the body shall be delivered when we see Christ coming in the clouds. Man or mankind will always have to die daily because of our fallen nature, that's why Christ sent back the Comforter/Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. We must always submit or will to the Will of God in other words there may be some things that my flesh wants to do, but because I love God so much I abstain from anything that will not please our Holy God. I believe God can deliver us from anything, but there are times even after getting saved that a person may struggle in the mind with certain things, but we must bring every thought under subjection because a thought can become a seed and before you know it, that seed may turn into a harvest of corruption.

Ok, maybe if you could answer the question from the mom that she was given. Perhaps that may be helpful to a lot of people. Because it sounds you said the same thing she just said but with a lot more words. And to condemn her for saying it and calling a noun a verb. This is confusing because this doesn’t seem like how Christ operated in the times when he was walking among us. I understand that this is what you use your platform for to expose your opinion and how erroneous others are. How is this helpful to the one in error as you have pointed out. How does this help lift up, encourage or sharpen your brother or sister? How much of their day to day life do you witness to discern if they are being worked on by the spirit of God. I think it is easy for all of us to give an opinion sometimes even a valid observation of error. But if we are not part of the people’s life or in communication with them then it just “Breakfast Club” or “TMZ”. Entertainment for gossiping and showing an unholy generation how we are not much different from them. I think it is easy to get in our own way especially when we have passion for things that seem to make a mockery of our faith. Corey I listen to you often because when foolish things happen you are one who will speak against it. I also follow the Perry’s and they are transparent about their walk. They are young and bold, not perfect, just like you, but they are saints who are willing to live out their faith despite a lot of opposition even from other saints. Maybe you wasn’t speaking against her but it came across like that

Malakoi would more than likely, given the cultural context, mean spineless, which makes more sense since that's not even on the list of non inheritors even though the Bible regularly denounced cowardice. It was one of those insults like our "B" word that denotes a person being a coward, an animal, and half of the instances "acting like an unrefined woman" all at the same time. Ceasars would throw the word around against their political foes, so there are too many references to the word being meant that way. Malakoi had also been used as "He who does not adhere to the study of philosophy" which could be a metaphor for those who do not study the word, but in that context, inheritance of the kingdom would require meeting a mental acuity threshold, which is out of bounds with the nature of God.

God didn't save us from temptation, He saved us from our sins. Even Jesus was tempted but didn't sin (Heb 4:16). The difference between being tempted pre-salvation and post-salvation, is our ability to overcome the temptation. Pre-salvation, we can't fight temptation. Post-salvation, we can fight the temptation by the power of the Holy Spirit. We all struggle with some type of temptation. When we ask God to help us through our temptations, we are struggling well.
    1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
