The whole area in front of you at the Biggining is the City Centre of Birminghm with all high rise/skyscrapper buildings spread arround the City Centre unlike the City of Manchester who's City Centre is not even half the size of Birmingham's City Centre are crushed together
Ime an avid lover of Birmingham & ime from Scotland, ime yet to go Manchester to see for myself so cannot give an honest opinion of which is bigger, from what i know Birmingham has a population 4 times bigger than Manchester so should have a bigger population & should have a bigger city centre but ive asked many who travel & some have said they both have similar size city centres but most have said Manchester has a bigger city centre, none have said Birmingham is bigger. Birmingham was restricted to have taller buildings than the post office tower until recently & London refused Birminghams permission to have our countries tallest building built. Birminghams biggest problem appears to be too close to London & not far enough away like Manchester but it will reach for the sky because its recently been given the green light to build as high as it wants to & it will. ❤✊🌏. Aint no where in the UK like Birmingham love.
@@bobbyxdazzler As they say. ask a Brummie which is the second city they will say Birmingham, ask a Londoner the same they'll say Birmingham, ask a Manc, they'll say London. 😀
Manchester has lost it’s character, sadly Birmingham is going the same way! It failed in the 70’s and this will fail too! Nondescript buildings built by foreigners for foreigner isn’t something to brag about! It just means Manchester sold its soul first and bent the knee because it doesn’t believe in themselves anymore! Another boring city that can be found anywhere in the world! Corporate soulless structures that will be demolished, as no one want to live or work in them! 😂
Not as impressive as Manchester some catching up to do. However love the octagon skyscraper its unique . The other issue is that the majority of Manchesters skyscrapers all look the same checkerboard renders so no real difference .Btw i live in London so no bias twoards either Manchester or Birmingham
Have you seen the other skyscraper in Birmingham the one east side black and white building which is 51 floors and 160 meters which is under construction and nearly done right now too and there is more buildings like moda great Charles street 130 meter bearmo tower 115 meters and way more approved and under construction
All uv done is go round the back end of the city centre . U showed us the same parts over and over again not entering the main city centre it’s self at all
Yeh but with HS2, Smithfields regeneration and more skyscrapers approved, it will surpass Manchester within the next 5 years. No doubt about that. It'll be the most interconnected city in Britain and investment (once HS2 is near completion) will dwarf that of Manchesters. Birmingham has had a lot of catching up to do since Manchesters's metetrioc rise but in time, Birmimgham is set to massively overtake along with a far larger (+ growing) population.
@@kelseybrookfield Sorry mate the Cityt of Manchester with a population of just 580,000 citizens will never ouit run the City of Birminghm with a population of 1.5million at all, you as usual are mixing up the City of Manchester with Greater Manchester which is NOT a City, going down that roa you need to compare The West Midlands County with Greater Manchester
@@kelseybrookfield The City of Manchester is no different to what it was in size 20 years ago, you are again mixing up the City of Manchester with Greater Manchester which are two different things, the City of Manchester with it's small population of only 580,000 citizens will never catch up with the City of Birmingham and it's population of 1.5 million Citizens and rising that got bigger in 1974 when the City of Birmingham took over the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield from Warwickshire. Stop comparing Greater Manchester which is only a Metro Council and not a City to the City of Birmingham which is a part of the larger West Midlands Metro Council
Nice flight my friend earns my like
Great video. Birmingham is starting to look impressive lately.

Looks like a small corner of Manchester city center..........(awaits furious brummies).......
Definately Birmingham mate 👍👍
I presume that's banter towards brummies as you surely must know that Birmingham is easily the second largest city in the UK.

Not quite Manchester
Why would it be "Not Quite Manchester", it wouldn't be would as it is a video of the UK's second City and Second Largests City The City of Birmingham
