    Lovely work Dylan. This was one of the best videos I've watched recently in RUclips. Thank you

    Not only are your photographs beautiful in how sensitively rendered they are, their value as records of these peoples' lives and culture is beyond measure. Kudos and thank you Dylan! (Looking forward to your next book.)

      Thank you so much! This book has been a long time in the works, but I'm hoping to have it ready for next year!

      Thank you for watching! After so many years of working on this project, it's really interesting for me to go back over these portraits and recall all the details I was thinking about as the shoot went on. Glad you found it interesting!

    Really nice subject video. Very respectful. I believe seeing people living simply and traditionally is a wake up call to the man made priorities of Western culture? I’m sure no one in the village worried about the grid going down and loss of internet.
    I recently acquired a 50Sii and am going through a learning curve. Will be curious to watch what happens on 100S pricing after 100Sii announcement. Had my eye since I decided to chase Medium Format. Like the “good images “ from 50sii.

      Thanks for watching! Don't think for a minute that the wants and desires of modern culture are missing in these places. I just chose not to photograph them. Television sets and smartphones are just as common in the mountains as they are in the cities. They're just not a part of my project.
      Glad to hear you're enjoying your 50S II. No doubt, you'll see a big drop in price on the 100S because of the new releases. They're already hitting the second-hand market here in anticipation of the launch.

    Just lovely! Do you use a panorama head, or simplify and only a ball head?

    • @DylanGoldbyPhotographer
      @DylanGoldbyPhotographer  День назад

      When I'm on a tripod, it's just a regular ball head. There's no need for pixel perfect stitching or lines to remain perfectly straight here. Oftentimes, I'm just working handheld.

    Do you turn the autofocus off when taking the pictures of the scene for the stitching?
