Took a similar style shot of our church organist at the keyboard with the front of the church in the background. Turned out rather nice, which is actually your fault. Thank you Daniel, you enable me to do what I didn't think I could do.

  • @yukonica4560

Nice image. Never considered shutter drag as part of the lighting. Which shows how much I still have to learn. Thank you.. as always.

  • @gewglesux

lOVE MY SPEEDLIGHTS!! Havent used them much though... but i still love my SB800'S

  • @johnleighdesigns

That's a great shot, I enjoy using speedlites for all my work in portraits, fashion and products, always been thinking to update my 7 years old budget brand lights to something with more power than 56 Ws but its never held me back in creating the shots

  • @tcphoto

Nice image. I have a similar approach to location work, I access the available light and see if it fits what I'm trying to do. I probably would have shot a little more shallow but that's just my approach. My mentor was John Chiasson, he shot for Time, Fortune, People, etc and I learned a lot from him over more than four years as his First Assistant.

Nice shot. The (speed) lighting is great. I might have tried the naked speedlight first, set to the cover a 100..200 mm lens angle. I would also want a shot with the source higher up, maybe, and have some dust or smoke to visualise the "beam" of light travelling to the model, but without it dominating the visual outside the beam.

    Leaving a comment.

    Fun Stuff !!!!! ThankYou :) :) :)

  • @pasakuma6113

Beautiful photo! And good explanation too

  • @ronin5th

Nice image. When I drag the shutter the results are not nearly as good. More practice is needed. Thank you for the very spot on explanation.

  • @ShaneBaker

    Nice!

  • @johnkosterimages

How long was the exposure or was it two exposures where you dragged the shutter on the first exposure and then added her after?
