Valhalla Calling would be a great next choice from Voice Play 😊

Theater guys... yep, VoicePlay are known as the theatre kids of a cappella. The vocal percussionist, Layne Stein co-owns a video production studio with former VoicePlay baritone, Tony Wakim. Many of VoicePlay's videos are filmed at that studio by the guys themselves. They are fully independent, creating their own arrangements, and every project you see and hear is 100% their creative vision. This is why you'll see VoicePlay doing things no other a cappella group does, and taking greater artistic risks. And throughout all this hard work, they never take themselves too seriously and clearly love what they do. I truly see them as a cut above the rest in terms of contemporary a cappella.

This was my first VoicePlay video after I had found Geoff Castelluccis' cover of Tennessee Ernie Ford's Sixteen Tone. Sandy Claws is played by Geoffs' brother-in-law and Eli (Ellie) guy in red did the voiceover.

They've also done What's This?, This is Halloween, and Kidnap the Sandy Claws. Geoff just did Jack's Lament on his solo channel this past Halloween.

Be sure to watch with the captions on! They include a bit of humor and snarky comments at times.

It truly is a rabbithole with this group. They're also a bit unique in that only three members have been consistent. They currently are sitting at four in the group, with a guest making up the fifth, but because there are so many different people being brought in it changes up their sound. You never get bored with it, plus it's a great way to discover other voice talents.
I've been listening to their Valhalla Calling and Drunken Sailor covers a lot recently, but it's all great!

As they say, welcome to the rabbithole. They have a most loyal group of followers who will definitely be there for it all. Thank you for a cool reaction.❤❤❤❤❤❤

One of VoicePlay's original members comes back for the Halo Theme ft. Scott Porter. He has an important message for us once the song is over. The groups sounds wonderful in Boy Banks in 5 Minutes. The guy Scott spoke of does a quick walk through here, passing off a sandwich. A couple of really funny numbers they did on stage for live audiences are Road Trip - VoicePlay Live (this was on their Song-Off tour) and VoicePlay performs the full "Chicken Song" in MN, both from 2014.

I’m so glad you checked this out! Voiceplay resides in Orlando and has done a lot of work with Disney, Universal Studios and on cruise ships. The group originally came together as high school friends in 1997. For me this is the original lineup, because I believe this was the first video of theirs that I saw. You won’t find a bad one, they are just too good. I say Hoist The Colors should be next. Thank you!😊

I’m sure someone has suggested you hop over to Geoff Gastellucci’s solo channel (he’s the bass) and check out Jack’s Lament. It’s a great follow to this one.
I’m enjoying your reactions to Voiceplay. I just love these guys.

Welcome to the Voiceplay Rabbit Hole! Number 4 rule of listening to Voiceplay or Geoff's (the bass) solo stuff-if you don't have super high quality speakers, wear headphones or earbuds! They do all kinds of musical tricks you won't hear without them.

So looking forward to more VP from you, man! Super glad you're enjoying them, they are amazing and you literally cannot go wrong with any song they've done. My personal recommendations are for Queen in Five Minutes, Valhalla Calling, and their amazing cover of In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins. I also suggest you check out the bass singer Geoff Castelluci's solo channel! He does some amazing covers too, like Ain't No Sunshine, House of the Rising Sun, and related to this one, he covers Jack's Lament from Nightmare Before Christmas. Hope to see you watch some of these, keep em comin dude!

If you like their Beatles VoicePlays version of Elinor Rigby is awesome. If you like Kansas their version of “Carry on wayward son is spot on”
They did “In the air tonight “ Phil Collins recently also good as well. Valhalla calling is a good one too

I'm a total fan. I never leave one of their videos without a smile. So much talent! Check Tennessee Whiskey for one that is less theatrical but really shows off their voices.

May i suggest their version of "Halo's" theme....if you havent already. Also the bass singer Geoff Castellucci has some solo worl out. You may enjoy the cover he does of Elvis's " way down" and the humor in it. I also love his cover of "Ghost Riders in the sky" .

You should check out their cover of Nothing Else Matters, which was released a year ago today. It's a masterpiece. ETA: And yep, they're known as the Theater Kids of A Capella. Most if not all of them have worked for Disney at some point.

I must admit VoicePlay has broadened my musical horizon since I went down that Rabbit hole. It´s because most of their songs are covers from originals I knew nothing about. I also had not seen the “Nightmare before Christmas” before watching “Oogie Boogie Song” by VP. I did afterwards. I like the Movie, but VP has spoiled my taste for the vocals, I´m afraid. And can there really be a “wrong” time to hear /watch a VoicePlay song?
Thank you for reacting and sharing!🌹
