    Bro, your issue isn’t your tire size. There’s a few things wrong with your setup for 0-60 runs. First off don’t cheap out on tires, get a good sticky tire. No matter how wide the tire may be if the compound isn’t sticky you’re gonna spin regardless. I recommend ps4s or conti extremecontactsport 02 or something similar. Second your sidewall is a 40 series, you’re losing speed and torque with a taller sidewall. You need to run a similar height to the original sizes. You can run a 255/35 or a 285/30 if you really want to go up in width that keeps it within the same tire height. Idk where people get the idea that a taller sidewall will mean better traction. Just trying to help man.

    • @HeyboysGarage
      @HeyboysGarage  Год назад

      I know right… It’s now fast enough for ps4s or continental extreme contact sport 02. Lol But I love my setup with the 40 profiles with the idea to protect my wheels. Idk either why people think taller sidewall mean better reaction. I did that again to protect my wheels. 255/35 is better from what you said but wrong on 285/30 on a 500. Makes sense on a E55.

    Next time doing draggy, hit the gas pedal and brake pedal at the same time, just little before it breaks traction. This happens about 2000-3000rpm. Realese the brake pedal and you'll get minimum slippage! ESP off via dyno mode. ;-) It's gonna work like it's launch control. Best luck! Hope I see the results on your next one!

    Keep doing what your doing bro! enjoying the content! just got a 2004 CLK convertible as well, in a super bad shape, I'm in Canada, the car originally came from Florida and whoever owned it before didn't know much about anything and kinda neglected the car, roof isn't working and motor mounts need changing , 2 bolts in the rear tires broke off inside the socket , needs to be extracted... haha took the car for 2k Canadian, which is like 1500 usd lol .. but in general the car drives amazing.. aside from the vibration from motor mounts.. I luckily found a CLK 2005 in a scrap yard next to me, with mint interior and all other things ... stripped it out, and now im giving this car a new life hahah... gonna be my project car for the winter. so anyways saw your vids and a lot of good info! thanks !! keep it up!

    I recommend lowering tire pressure, putting it into manual mode and shifting yourself but also at the launch load your tq converter while on the brakes and then release aka, on the brakes and on the gas the same time, but not enough to do a burn out. You can also try not to go full throttle with the launch.
