I had a few of the same issues on my N51 with only 14k miles. 1. I had to code out fog lights when I changed to just the LED bulbs from sylvania. Carly tool scanner helped with that. 2. Fluctuations on idle as well . Carly scanner showed cylinder 1 and 4 misfiring. Again only 14 k miles on engine. Mechanic updated DMe software and reset codes .He also suggested techrron fuel additive every 3k miles. Updates took over 3 hours for all modules . I now have 40k miles and issues have not returned. No parts replaced.
For the surging rpm you should look into replacing the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors and the vanos solenoids and check valves and injectors. My wife and I have replaced all those things except the injectors. It fixed the surging rpm slightly. The injectors are definitely leaking because I saw fuel sitting on top of the valves when I took the intake manifold off. From all the research that I’ve done the injectors should be the last thing that could cause the surging rpm.
Good content thank you, am thinking about getting a 3 stage intake, can you make an update telling us your experience with the 3 stage and how it feels or if is even worth it.thank you again.
had the same idling issues - could be a few things valvetronic motor, vanos solenoids, maybe even replace sparkplugs, or even maybe bad o2 lambda could cause bad fuel mixture which could scew the idle
Cornering lights i thinks can be coded out. Many bulb checks can be coded out of as well. Front pdc i thinks once coded you can make the show in idrive the corners in vertical. I would you suggest to get ista and ncs expert a search on internet how to use them. Its could help you a lot.
Nice BMW, and the steering wheel with the shifter pads, did the stock steering wheel had the shifter pads or u just added them on? if so please let us know. Also same problem with the front sensors fam lol
I didn’t see where you talked about the buzzing noise. Were you able to fix it? I just bought my second E90, a 2010, and it had the faint high pitched buzz. Even when the radio was off and key removed. A lot of people fixed the issue by unplugging the radio connector and then reinstalling it. The Professional radio from my older E90 was in better condition so I just swapped it and the buzz is gone. This buzz-free radio originally came from 2014 X1. Easy cheap fix.
Hey man, I love the videos. I am wondering if you have experienced any problems with the f30 since you did not prime the oil when changing the oil filter housing gasket, Also, how many miles has it been since you did it?
Talk to you a paintless dent repair person for the door. I think they’d probably ask for the same amount of cash but you might be able to get it fixed without painting and having mismatched exterior color
Most of the parts are identical other than some of the front suspension components and the addition of the transfer case to send power to the front drive shaft to the front differential turning the front two axles. RWD has none of that.
@@InlineSixAuto thanks for the help! I did have a cylinder 3 misfire about 2 weeks ago and replaced the ignition coil. Haven’t got anymore codes but it’s still having the same issues. Not sure if I should replace the spark plugs or injector maybe

I'm getting a 2011 328xi here soon. Thanks for the video :D

I love the look of the car the maroon with the green. But what wheel fitment are you running?
Staggered 19x9.5 et 45 in rear and 19x8.5 et 38 in front. But I also have 12mm spacers in the rear and 10mm spacers in the front.

Yeah the car came with paddle shifters from factory! Guess it’s rare option for 328i.

The buzzing noise comes from my DISA valve in the intake manifold. it still happens every so often.
@@InlineSixAuto Oh that buzzing noise. Lol

Haven’t had any issues and I have driven almost 1,000 miles since.
Yes you can code it out with ncs expert
on the bouncing revs also research on vanos solenoid and the non return valves

Have the same issue with the door
Try replacing rear break light bulb
I tried that. Still was getting a warning light. Ended up coding out the warning anyway and it hasn’t come back.
@@InlineSixAuto how did you code out the warning?
@@camposjesus3725 I used Carly for BMW app to code it out.
Looks like mainly software issues - just thinking -
do 328I XDrive parts fit a regular 328I?

I’ve got the same idling issue not sure what it is but my cars almost stalling whenever I got it idling
It ended up being a bad ignition coil in cylinder 3. It was causing misfires
You should check if it’s misfires if you haven’t already cause a bad ignition coil is a pretty easy fix.

You can code out the bulb warning
I’m interested in coding it out! What did you use?

Thanks for the help!
Ever fixed the door because I have the same problem
Yep I fixed it. I did a video on it
