    This is pretty much a 2019 Millionaire CT SV70 with a BFS spool, a handle with cork knobs and a different gear ratio. The non slp Millionaire is one of the smoothest, if not the smoothest, reels I own.

    There is also the silver creek air tw stream custom. That one comes in all black with cork knobs and some gold and silver accents.

  • @ПриваловСергей-р5м

    Is the answer to the mass model a limited edition? It's kind of stupid. While Shimano is making a much-needed 8.9 gear reel, Daiwa is releasing a 7.2 gear reel with a 28mm spool. Total really for one turn of the handle will be 55-60 cm. The handle is 70 mm long.
    It all reminds me of an attempt to do something close to the classic ABU.

      That reel is still based on the same old 25 year old Millionaire CV-Z 103 platform. The gear box is very small and limited and it uses the same gear set compatibility as Alphas and Pixy line-up before the T-Wing models. The gear ratios are only 5.8:1, 6.3:1, 6.8:1 and the highest being 7.2:1, due to the small gear box size. I think there also is a very rare gear set made by K.T.F. in old Pixys semiordered from them with a ratio of 8.0:1 or something. They can’t get faster than that with this platform unless they redesign the whole reel like they did with the Alphas.

      There must be a lucrative market for small round bfs reels and Daiwa wants a piece of the pie

    Interesting! My first thought was that it looks like they tried to copy the Abu Garcia ambassadeur to make a more classic look for this reel. However, I feel the Shimano Calcutta Conquest has a more refined and sophisticated look.
    Personally, I would be more interested in the SS Air TW before this one.

    So quick question can anybody explain the advantage of micro Is bearing or ceramic hybrid or full ceramic

    • @THEREELTEST
      @THEREELTEST  Год назад +1

      the smaller balls in micro bearings theoretically will have lower startup inertia which helps with light lures. Ceramics just have less friction so they spin faster and longer.

    I think you way overestimate the popularity of these round baitcaster reels I watch all the tournaments on TV and I've been to them in person and I've never ever seen a pro or anyone else use one of these.

    • @JigSteezy

      This is true. But thats the best part about not being a pro. We can use whatever. I do agree though. Not sure how popular they are. Never really see them myself.

    The old conquest BFS is already a tad smaller than regular CTSV, not to mention the 23 conquest BFS. One thing never changes, Daiwa is notorious for reheating overnight dishes and serve to unsuspecting customers the next day.
    They could easily outdone Shimano with T Wing round body reels but they chose this silly path. Pathetic brand and pathetic followers.

    • @C0ldB3er
      @C0ldB3er Год назад

      TWS is not very good for a reel built to last. TWS is not even proven to actually increase cast distance. I would love to see two identical reels, one without TWS and one with TWS to actually see casting difference between the two, so far TWS is not systematically shown to cast further. But a thing TWS is notorious for is grinding away the inside of the reel frame. I actually prefer older Daiwa models for this reason. But yeah, Daiwa do repurpose a lot of reels. Wouldn't call Daiwa a pathetic brand though. The 2005 Daiwa Liberto Pixy, 1998 TD-Z, 1998 Millionaire and 2006 Alphas 103/F are fantastic reels. Their newer models less so.

    • @GwenStefaniGuild
      @GwenStefaniGuild Год назад

      You two are out of your mind and crazy as hell. Daiwa reels are way more solid and less prone to breaking than Shimano’s. The T-wing actually does increase casting distance and line lay on the spool especially with larger diameter line. You can’t compare a Daiwa TWS SV to a Shimano or other brand and expect to see results in distance as the SV spool isn’t created for distance. I see this shit all the time with guys comparing an SV reel to another brands reel and spool and expecting the SV to outcast it because it cost a lot of money. Shimano and Daiwa both reuse the same parts and frames from model to model, every year, while only upgrading a few parts here or there. Point is your both noobs and should be using spin casters at the kiddy pond. 😅
