      Great point! We should do something on developments in Tokugawa as well! Especially with the popularity of Shogun.

    It's too bad the discussion of Kamakura Buddhism excluded the revival of Nara Buddhism. For example, the Shingon-Risshu sect sought to bring back the Vinaya patrimoksha of the Risshu sect. This adds perspective to the idea that the established sects and other new sects were decadent rather than just out of touch, even though today these movements largely died out for political reasons.

      You're absolutely right! We should do a video on "Kamakura Buddhism," and really get into what the so-called "Old Schools" were actually doing!

    When you say everything is Buddha and that you already are buddha and that's kind of the point to the practices is realizing that then are you saying everything is enlightenment and the knower
