    Happy New Year Kendra! Wishing the best in 2024. Also the jpegs are brilliant. Your storytelling is truly immersive. I really want to visit San Fran at some point.

    Kendra, I loved this set. You captured so much life and texture - and although you were limited, man.. you really rocked it. And yeah, the 35 1.4 really sucks on autofocus. I used to use it on some shoots, but I had too many misses! The 35 f/2 is great - the 33 1.4 even better!! Also - the lion dance performances were so lively. My son used to do lion dance at his Kung Fu Academy, so it's fantastic seeing this. We would have loved to see all this! ROCK ON!!!!!!

      thank you so much, jerred! yeah the focus of this lens makes me sad loll that's right how could i forget that the 33mm exists! dang, now that makes my decision that much harder 😅 also, that's super cool that your son used to do lion dance! you guys should come out to sf next year to experience it :D (and a niners game while you're at it!)

    My only issue with this video is that it isn’t long enough, but other than that I still love your content.

    Excellent video. If I went back to Fuji, I would definitely use the x100V haha. When I was looking up different 35 mm for Fuji I heard the f1.4 was slower AF than F2. I would actually try my go at the Sigma 30 f/1.4 unless you like the Fuji size or aperture ring.
    I loved the sigma 30mm for sony hehe.

      thanks for watching, mike! yeah i got this version of the 35mm cuz i managed to find a cheap used copy hahah but still wasn't worth it :( and omg i loved my sigma 30mm on my old a6300! unfortunately, it started having really bad focusing issues where it would just hunt nonstop 😅 did you experience any issues with focusing on your sigma?

    • @MikeBSalazar
      @MikeBSalazar 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@kendrasananikone i would have tried the fuji 35 f1.4 anyway too haha. And every now then the sigma would hunt a bit. Not always but once in a while. The image quality and record of hitting more focus made me overlook the occasional hunting.
      However I have recently sold that to adapt the sigma 18-35mm f1.8 for versatility for photo and video.

      ohh okay i see, i love that lens as well! now with your sigma 30mm suggestion and jerred's 33mm suggestion i have a lot of thinking to do hahah@@MikeBSalazar

      I would think the 33mm would be slightly more compact and nicer within the fuji ecosystem haha @@kendrasananikone
