It's interesting to hear a connected person finally talking about the eventuality of China taking back their lands that Russia took from back at the end of WWII. Its a maneuver that has much more upside than an attack on Taiwan, which is mainly just a propaganda campaign due to history. In real terms though, Russia is no longer able to operate the oil facilities in the East due to sanctions and operating companies leaving but if China took them over then those facilities could be turned back on and contracted companies could go back in. I doubt China wants to risk all out war with Russia but if Russia breaks up, as this Advisor suggests is possible, it seems very plausible that China would retake Manchurian lands taken from them in the past. They could even use the same talking points that the Russians use about Crimea and Donbass in that those lands of Outer Manchuria are ethnically majority Chinese. Plus when you look at Google Maps on the area, you see Chinese cities and infrastructure that is literally built right up to the border where as there is hardly anything on the Russian side. Clearly China will make much more use out of the area should that happen.

You can have all the facilities but without the people and the knowledge to run them, its just a building with stuff in it. If China had the knowledge to do it, they would do it but they dont. That's why the semi-conductor embargo on them hurts them so much. It's not worth the risk to enter full scale warfare against the US there. They see what has happened to Russia in their failed invasion. The CCP cant afford that kind of a failure internally. The easy win is to wait for Russia to fall apart and then take back those lands that China lost in the war to Russia. That is just as much of a propaganda win for the CCP and that is the most valuable thing to them when it comes to engaging in a war.

Russia has been losing slowly but now the pace is speeding up, both on the battlefield and politically.
The turning point will be the onset of winter, a winter that Russian troops are poorly prepared for.
There are only two supply routes into and out of Crimea, the Kursk bridge which is currently under repair and overland.
The overland route is well within range of Ukrainian platforms and the bridge as we have seen is very vulnerable to attack, and if anyone believes that was a truck bomb with 25 tons of explosive as reported by the Russians they will believe anything.
Starve Crimea and the war is theirs and so far the tactic of identifying their supply hubs and destroying them has worked very well I just hope they continue.

It is now almost certain, that the Ukrainian army has quite recently made a successful landing operation to the Kinburn peninsula to the West of the river delta of Dnipro. From there is is possible to advance first to the East to basal of this peninsula and from there to the South to Crimea. Those attacking troops don't need to cross Dnipro anymore, that is big advantage. However this peninsula is 35 km long and in it's Eastern part only four km wide, so the Russian army has a good change to stop the advanging Ukrainian army there. But the area immediately to the East of this peninsula is practially roadless, so the supplying of the Russian defenders will be difficult. On the other hand the bay is narrow, so the Ukrainians can with relatively easily to supply their troops. And they have a stong artillery and lots of rocket-launchers pretty near on the mainland. So they can have the Russians troops in Kinburn under constant shelling. If the Ukrainian army will be able to break through from the Kinburn peninsula, it can rotate the strongest Russian defensive lines on the Western side. Then the road to Crimea will be free.
The Ukrainian army will probably pretty soon start an offensive in the Zaporizhzhia front heading first to the South to Melitopol and from there to Dzamkoi in North-Eastern Crimea.
In the Luhansk front the advancing Ukrainian army has reached so called Toblerone line and quite recently managed to breake in some places. This line was much weaker than expected. The fighting moral of the Russian soldiers is low. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

Militarily it's tough for Ukraine to really take Crimea or push into Donbas because of the sheer numbers of Russians soldiers. There was an interview with a Ukrainian tank team yesterday returning to Kherson after fighting on the front lines and they spoke about how difficult it was to make progress as every time they took out a line, they were quickly replaced.
Literally canon fodder, its awful waste of human souls, but the Russian leadership does not care about its ppl who are either former prisoners or drafted with more experienced behind them in a back up line.
That being said, Ukrainians have been rewriting how to be agile and creative in battles so I wldnt bet against them.

@@mourneslad6819 It sounds like you've interwoven truth with fiction. IF true, can you share your source? Happy to be corrected.
In my opinion, although sadly they have lost a lot of soldiers, it is incorrect to say almost ALL professional Ukrainian soldiers have been lost. IF that had been the case it wld be chaotic to control the counter offensives and they wld be over run by the Russians by sheer numbers alone on the Russian side.
To counter expected losses, since March Ukraine has been actively rotating training for newbies so to counter. For instance recently it was confirmed that approx 7k soldiers have been trained in the UK. As they pass their training they aren't assigned to the front lines but gain experience first and are then moved up in the rotation.
And as evidenced by the battles won, the Ukrainian soldiers gain experience quickly. Their main goal is not to lose lives so they do their damnest to mitigate that unlike the Russians who don't seem to care whether the immobilized are trained or not (Russian confirmation).
Not sure what you mean by the Poles. But there are a number of foreign squads - such as:
      1) Belarus Volunteer army
      2) Foreign Legion made up of many nationalities like Canadians, UK US, Aussie, Poles etc volunteers
      3) Chechnyan Battalion
      4) Georgian
It's a fallacy to say the Ukrainian forces are being propped up foreign forces pretending to be Ukrainian. There's no need to pretend. Can you confirm your source?
