Yes! I can definitely go into more detail about that in a video. Seriously check out Josie! She does this style by the book all year round. I linked her Instagram but she also has a RUclips channel called Fashion Mumblr. That will help give you some inspiration! All of the elements still apply you just have to adjust for the cooler weather.
Thank you so much for addressing the need for a mature Romantic look for those of us in our 70s. You are the only person I've seen do this, and it is VERY much appreciated.
I just found your channel. It popped up in my feed. I’m 60 years old and love the romantic style, but wasn’t sure how to incorporate it into my life. Thank you for this video! You just taught me! 🌸💗🌸
I really like the starter kits for this series. I find this style of the video is more helpful. 😊 I’d love to see a casual teacher capsule wardrobe example with pants and comfy flats/sneakers.
Love all your advice and tips. I tend to look more for the girlie romantic pieces and this video definitely helped put it all together. One thing I have struggled with is jewelry and style. ❤️
I’m so glad you found this helpful! I am not a big accessories person so I find that it really is about finding those few accessories that will help you achieve the style that you are going for.
' " a mix of classic and boho" thank you i finally find the name of my style :D Thank you for the good and clear advices, you have a very beautiful channel and style :)
I really enjoyed how you laid out the fundamental elements of the aesthetic, gave some practical examples, and then showcased some ways to customize it to suit your body/color palette/needs. Glad I found your video, will definitely be joining the FB group!
I typed in a search with keywords like romantic, boho, and your video came up- thank you so much for this! I am a Type 2 in the Dressing Your Truth energy profiling. I’ve always been drawn to long dresses, floral print, feminine blouses, etc. I am a busy mom and I’ve gotten so tired of the “mom look” and I want to develop my personal style. Thank you for the pictures as you talked, that was really helpful for us visual learners!
My style is partly feminine and this video definitely helped confirm that. I hope in the future you could add some sustainable brand suggestions for each style. I am only purchasing clothes that do not contain plastic ( aka synthetics) and if it has cotton then only organic cotton. Most brands that use truly natural and sustainable materials don't make clothes in the feminine style . It has been very challenging as most brands that claim to be sustainable or people ( RUclipsrs) think are sustainable, actually do not use sustainable fabrics . For example 'Doen' and 'Sezane'.
Yes! I am working on researching sustainable brands and plan on doing a separate video going over a few brands and what styles work best. I mainly shop second hand since I can’t afford a lot of sustainable brands so I really want to make sure I do my research. It drives me crazy when RUclipsrs talk about Everlane, for example, because they are not as sustainable or ethical as they claim to be. Again, the brands in this edit are not what is important. Once you have a good understanding of what makes up a style it is easy to take the concepts and apply them to whatever brands you like. Thank you for your feedback!
Same. I only realized thanks to this video that this is very close to my personal style. Much closer than I imagined. I would love to by so I manly thrift and I try to learn how to sew my own clothes too.
Thank you so much! This video pulled everything together I have learned about the body types when it comes to constructing my style! Thank you, thank you!
I loved seeing how to do this style and like the new format 🌟 I'd love to see some more ethical/ sustainable brands suggested too for the example pieces 💛
Thank you for that video. It is very helpful. I did not find my style yet. In Kibbe System I seem to be Romantic. I am often torn between Boho, Classy and Romantic, sometimes even the Vintage Fashion of the 40ies and 50ies.I also lopve the French Chic. Recently I try to built a basic wardrobe and I love neutrals. I am turning 39 soon and want a more mature wardrobe. But I am Gemini an often feel torn. On the one hand I love neutrals an a more classy and simple wardrobe, on th other hand I often also love florals, patterns, the ethno and boho chic (I am a very creative person and love to express myself). As I also currently am on a weightloss journey it is not so easy to find pieces and create a good style. But I try. Your videos are a good source of inspiration. I also wanted to add some brands I recently found for romantic style - they are a bit pricier but the quality seems good: Roujé and Gaala Paris and also a Polish brand which ships internationally too, they have nice dresses and skirts and blouses: Marie Zélie. I also like Dresses of Orsay, but they use a lot of Polyester unfortunately.
Hello Emma I just discovered you. And this Style Me kind of videos are very interesting. It's really nice how you break down the style, give references and a "starter kit" of essential pieces. I just realize, thanks to you, how close to romantic my personnal style is, mixed with casual. It's going to be helpful as I'm slowly building my perfect wardrobe. I saw that you are researching sustainable and ethical brands for a future video. Looking forward to this video. :)
I am! They are definitely out there but harder to find. I also want to do my research and make sure they are actually sustainable and ethical. I’m so glad you found this helpful!
@@DaisyGalStyling Yes. I am getting back to your channel and it IS very helpful. :) Just out of curiosity, do you plan on making more videos for this series? PS : sorry for the long reply, I hadn't seen you had reply.
Hi Emma, great video! I really like the new structure of the series and find it much more helpful this way. Would love to see a style me - vintage inspired. Much love from Berlin :)
What happen when im a dark autumn colour with a romantic in kibbe body type but my essence is not so girly... how can i incorporate my colour with body type and my personal essence which a little bit edgy n sexy because i definitely not so pastel-girly girl... im confused
No idea what my style is. Love earthy tones and neutrals, casual clothes, lots of brown leather in accessories, jeans and denim, with the occasional skirt or dress, love natural textures like linen and wool, love oversized tops, graphic t’s, floral. It is such a mix I can never narrow it down.
Most people don’t have just one style! Your style is probably a mix of a few different styles so don’t worry if you can’t break it down to one. Once you understand the types of styles you love you can break them down and figure out how to incorporate them into your wardrobe.
I’ve had ppl compliment me on my “vintage” pieces, when they just seem normal to me - must be my 80s style from back in the day, coming thru 😂? What exactly qualifies as Vintage?
Vintage is clothes are reminiscent of another time period. There is contemporary vintage which is modern pieces inspired by vintage styles or true vintage which is actually having pieces from those time periods. Fashion always repeats itself so you will see styles from other decades come back in style. For example, right now the 70s is really trendy with wide leg jeans and retro tops or bohemian styles. Even the 90s has come back around!
I would love to see the winter version of style me romantic. that is what i struggle with
