My family and I recently purchased a fifth wheel toy hauler less than a year ago. I stumbled upon your channel while looking for how to repair something on the rig. My wife and I have found ourselves watching all of your episodes since then. You guys are truly inspiring. We have dreamed of being able to full-time RV but were convinced it just was not possible on our budget. I work as a fractional CIO for a number of small and mid-sized companies-many of which feel it necessary to meet in person on a routine basis. Since watching what you guys have done, I am determined to find a way to transition into a role that will allow for full-time travel while still earning a living. Thank you for the inspiration! Make no mistake, many have tried to capture the essence of what you are doing in documenting/sharing your travels. The reality is that it is you & your family that makes it work. You are salt of the earth good peeps! In fact, you need to reach out to Disney. They should get behind an all-American Disney family to help promote and distribute your stories.... kind of like the Sunday night family gathering to watch Marlin Perkins and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom :) there is potential there!!! How did I miss the fact you are also running a podcast? Will check it out. As far as season #3- definitely hit Vancouver island. Butchart Gardens will blow you away as well as seeing the town and Parliament. In fact, my wife and I drove the Oregon and Wash. coast (Tillamook Naval Air museum, Astoria and up to Washington and on the ferry to Vancouver Island) then over to Vancouver, Calgary, Banff and down to Glacier Natl Park. then west back to Seattle. I only hit my wife once with the RV (and it was our honeymoon)! :) #TravelingGinger

I have been in the RV business all my life. I have heard from our customers all of their adventures travelling throughout the world. My Mom and Sister took an Airstream through China. My Mom and Dad travelled all over Europe with an Airstream Argosy. I have always wanted to take an RV to Mexico, and was very apprehensive until I watched your videos. Really appreciate all the effort you have put into these videos. They are fantastic!

I used to take off and travel all the time, but I've strayed from that as the years have passed. Watching your channel (and Less Junk, More Journey) reminded me how much I loved it, and definitely inspired me to get back to it. I know you're having fun with your family, and you don't have to share that with people, but you do, and it is changing a lot of people's lives for the better, so thank you. :) I'll be sure to share your channel with my friends.
When I was a kid my Dad would travel to Eureka for work and I would ride along. I loved seeing all the redwoods and going to the tree house. I can't wait for season 3. I truly enjoy watching your videos.

Love your videos! It makes me feel better that a financial planner is ok with the idea of buying an RV. We were always told it's a "bad investment", but our feeling is that it's the experience, not the object that obviously loses value.
All it took was one look and he knew... wow. You don't hear stories like that anymore. And the fact that you've been married for 17 years and after several months in close quarters in an RV (along with 3 rambunctious teens), you still want to be together?!! That is worth celebrating. You'all need to write how you're making it work.
You folks are really an amazing family! I have always wanted to do this! Still waiting on someone who is right for this life. Had plans a few years back , but unfortunately lung cancer took him. Although we were blessed to see almost all 48 states except The very N.E. states. Didn't get to stop and smell the roses though due to time commitments. 18 wheels and a dozen roses! It was great. Thank you for bringing happiness to my day!!
You will love the Oregon cost, it took us all day jut to go a hundred miles because there is so much to see. We explored all of the light houses and learned so much about each one of them. We are heading up north as well in a few days, Just going to Seattle for a few days and checking out the parks up in that area. Safe travels.

Happy you made it to Santa Cruz!!! This is our home! You can buy a tear down shack (literally) for only $500,000! 😆. Though we don't do much "touristy" stuff, we hit roaring camp, and the redwood loop a leaf 4 times a year with the kids. The surf is epic here. Some of the best waves in the world. Also, Amazing whale footage.

I must say that you two have inspired me as well. I travel all over Idaho for work and NOW instead of the world of hotels, packing / unpacking, dirty rooms and overpriced rates....I just take my fifth wheel and I have my $30 night places I stay. I'm saving money and am able to use my savings to make my trailer payment SCORE!! Safe travels guys! I'm totally looking forward to the new season.
I have been watching your videos for the past 2 weeks it seems non-stop. Of course I started with season 1 and I just got to the opener for season 3. I admire how you are bringing us along on the journey to and some of the places so far are wonderful. We are part-timers and while I dreamed of being full-time, it doesn't seem possible for certain reasons on our end. But like you said, part-timers can have some great adventures too and we do. One adventure we have this year is heading up to the UP and kayaking Pictured Rocks. That is the big adventure this year. Love your episodes and look forward to watching more of your adventures.

My wife and I have been planning a year long trip around the US in a travel trailer. We are getting very close to departing now (hopefully by October). We have the trailer, we have the truck, soon to plan our main attractions and route (though flexible). Our main obstacle is selling our house. Once that is done we will be free. YAY! I'm getting excited about Season 3. I've seen many who say they take the ferry to Vancouver but none have ever showed the trip, told how it went or what it cost. Do you watch Chris & G Travels? He RUclipss their trip to and from Alaska every year. Lots of places to boondock. He gives GPS coordinates, is that what they are called, for the places they have stayed. Also places to dump & find fresh water. Some I've watched carry extra fuel, 10 gal or so, just in case or to save on high prices.

Hey folks, we're so glad to see KYD Season 3 about to begin! We love your channel and we're anxious to follow your latest adventures! Okay, so I'm sure you've already put together a rough itinerary for your next season but you really should consider coming to Canada's Maritime Provinces (on the east coast) at some point! You guys would love it here, so much to see and do...an outdoor enthusiast mecca! - New Brunswick has incredible scenery along the Saint John river valley with the river emptying the world famous Bay of Fundy right here in our hometown of Saint John. The Bay of Fundy actually appears in the Guinness Book of World Records as having the greatest vertical tidal range in the world! In the six hours between low tide and high tide, it's not unusual for the water level in our harbour to rise 30 to 40 feet! Also to be found here in Saint John is Canada's largest urban park - Rockwood Park! Hiking trails, cycling trails, swimming and fishing galore! Saint John is actually Canada's first incorporated city and has an amazing past. Founded by the United Empire Loyalists - people who felt such a strong loyalty to Britain, they left the U.S. during the American Revolution and headed north to the British territory of Canada! To this day, there are still signs of loyalist life all across the city. Like I say, an interesting history :-) - Nova Scotia is the home of the world famous Cabot Trail scenic drive that winds around the perimeter of Cape Breton's highlands, overlooking cliffs and the infamous North Atlantic Ocean. As well, the most photographed lighthouse in the world can be found in NS...in a picturesque fishing village known as Peggy's Cove. - Prince Edward Island is where Canada began. It was in Charlottetown, PEI back in 1867 where the groundwork for our nation was planned! PEI is also noted for it's amazing scenery - around each corner and over each hill another picture perfect scene unfolds. Love your videos! It makes me feel better that a financial planner is ok with the idea of buying an RV. We were always told it's a "bad investment", but our feeling is that it's the experience, not the object that obviously loses value.
All it took was one look and he knew... wow. You don't hear stories like that anymore. And the fact that you've been married for 17 years and after several months in close quarters in an RV (along with 3 rambunctious teens), you still want to be together?!! That is worth celebrating. You'all need to write how you're making it work.
You folks are really an amazing family! I have always wanted to do this! Still waiting on someone who is right for this life. Had plans a few years back , but unfortunately lung cancer took him. Although we were blessed to see almost all 48 states except The very N.E. states. Didn't get to stop and smell the roses though due to time commitments. 18 wheels and a dozen roses! It was great. Thank you for bringing happiness to my day!!

You will love the Oregon cost, it took us all day jut to go a hundred miles because there is so much to see. We explored all of the light houses and learned so much about each one of them. We are heading up north as well in a few days, Just going to Seattle for a few days and checking out the parks up in that area. Safe travels.

Though we don't do much "touristy" stuff, we hit roaring camp, and the redwood loop a leaf 4 times a year with the kids. The surf is epic here. Some of the best waves in the world.

I must say that you two have inspired me as well. I travel all over Idaho for work and NOW instead of the world of hotels, packing / unpacking, dirty rooms and overpriced rates....I just take my fifth wheel and I have my $30 night places I stay. I'm saving money and am able to use my savings to make my trailer payment SCORE!! Safe travels guys! I'm totally looking forward to the new season.

I have been watching your videos for the past 2 weeks it seems non-stop. Of course I started with season 1 and I just got to the opener for season 3. I admire how you are bringing us along on the journey to and some of the places so far are wonderful. We are part-timers and while I dreamed of being full-time, it doesn't seem possible for certain reasons on our end. But like you said, part-timers can have some great adventures too and we do. One adventure we have this year is heading up to the UP and kayaking Pictured Rocks. That is the big adventure this year. Love your episodes and look forward to watching more of your adventures.

My wife and I have been planning a year long trip around the US in a travel trailer. We are getting very close to departing now (hopefully by October). We have the trailer, we have the truck, soon to plan our main attractions and route (though flexible). Our main obstacle is selling our house. Once that is done we will be free. YAY! I'm getting excited about Season 3. I've seen many who say they take the ferry to Vancouver but none have ever showed the trip, told how it went or what it cost. Not cheep! We estimate about $300 one-way. Gulp. + the increase gas and parks.
Do you watch Chris & G Travels? He RUclipss their trip to and from Alaska every year. Lots of places to boondock. He gives GPS coordinates, is that what they are called, for the places they have stayed. Also places to dump & find fresh water. Some I've watched carry extra fuel, 10 gal or so, just in case or to save on high prices.

We lived in Ca for years up by and in Eureka beautiful place! Don't forget to check roads before going that far on 101 they have many slides that close the road down for days! Enjoy your videos so much! Good luck and God bless! 😊🌸

Okay, so I'm sure you've already put together a rough itinerary for your next season but you really should consider coming to Canada's Maritime Provinces (on the east coast) at some point! You guys would love it here, so much to see and do...an outdoor enthusiast mecca!
- New Brunswick has incredible scenery along the Saint John river valley with the river emptying the world famous Bay of Fundy right here in our hometown of Saint John. The Bay of Fundy actually appears in the Guinness Book of World Records as having the greatest vertical tidal range in the world! In the six hours between low tide and high tide, it's not unusual for the water level in our harbour to rise 30 to 40 feet!
Also to be found here in Saint John is Canada's largest urban park - Rockwood Park! Hiking trails, cycling trails, swimming and fishing galore!
Saint John is actually Canada's first incorporated city and has an amazing past. Founded by the United Empire Loyalists - people who felt such a strong loyalty to Britain, they left the U.S. during the American Revolution and headed north to the British territory of Canada! To this day, there are still signs of loyalist life all across the city. Like I say, an interesting history :-)
- Nova Scotia is the home of the world famous Cabot Trail scenic drive that winds around the perimeter of Cape Breton's highlands, overlooking cliffs and the infamous North Atlantic Ocean.
As well, the most photographed lighthouse in the world can be found in NS...in a picturesque fishing village known as Peggy's Cove.
- Prince Edward Island is where Canada began. It was in Charlottetown, PEI back in 1867 where the groundwork for our nation was planned!
PEI is also noted for it's amazing scenery - around each corner and over each hill another picture perfect scene unfolds.
So you see, you really do owe it to yourself to come visit us in Atlantic Canada...you won't be disappointed :-)

I love your family's enthusiasm! I have enjoyed watching your travels across the country and Mexico. We are fairly new in our RV travels. Last summer we went to Florida to visit family and stayed in Destin at Camp Gulf. It was cool to see your take on the place!. This summer we are taking one month and heading to Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone and The Tetons and we are all beyond excited. Truly "Keeping My Daydream" of showing my kiddos (and ourselves) this amazing country!
