Typhoon No. 10 (Sansan) Forces Mass Evacuations in Japan! Kagoshima Hit Hardest by Devastation

As of 3 p.m., Kagoshima City issued evacuation orders to 122,945 households and 230,737 people in areas at high risk of flooding from landslides and river flooding, as strong winds and heavy rain are expected as the typhoon approaches.
The powerful Typhoon No. 10 is moving north, hitting the Tanegashima and Yakushima areas of Kagoshima Prefecture within the storm zone. In the afternoon, the Japan Meteorological Agency issued a special warning for strong winds and waves in Kagoshima Prefecture, excluding the Amami area, and also said there is a possibility of a special warning for heavy rain in Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures in the future. An estimated 120 millimeters of rain fell in one hour in Yakushima City.
