When I was a teenager dealing with acne, I used prepackaged alcohol pads. Worked wonders on my oilyskin, still use them to this day, although I usually buy isopropyl 99.9 and use a qtip or whatever is handy. Cheers
Coconut oil reduce the excess oil from your skin, because oil wash out oil, it dosent clog your pore as after their use you would wash it all. You may apply it after a clean face but is better at night where it will absorb it and give their benefits. Some doctors dosent advice it because most of their patients come with akin conditions that maybe Acne or rosacea and in that case they arent advixe it. If you have mix skin, oily or dry and dont have any acne prone skin, coconut oil is just the best.

Only use a LITTLE as you don't want greasy hair. You can put more on, leave it set for an hour or so, then wash your hair. That is a mask treatment for the hair. It makes a very good conditioner and a good hair dressing. As long as you are "greased up" rub into your skin, face, etc.

Coconut oil does wonders to my face. Can I apply it before applying tretinoin? Will the tretinoin penetrate my skin?
It will reduce the strength of the tretinoin but will also reduce irritation

Then when i went to dermatologist, she said, don't use it again as it is comedogenic

For blackheads and acne I recommend benzoyl peroxide wash in the morning and adapalene at night (use every 2-3 nights for awhile and work up)
