Probably not on anyone’s radar but Horror Story will be returning as a stasis AR with this years Festival of the Lost, and it too can get Demo with Headstone/Frenzy. Autos feel very nice at the moment so may be one to keep you’re eye out for
That's what I'm gonna go for when the event comes out in place of Unending Tempest. Idk what it is but that smg just feels terrible, takes up half the damn screen too

Thorn has been doing pretty good in pve since the changes, it even pairs pretty well with the overload hand cannon mod cause of the dot.

Nope, the only 3 that can are the new horror story once it drops, unending tempest and fire and forget.

Nightshade might be my favorite pvp gun this season. I tried several rolls but keep away headseeker is my favorite roll it’s very consistent plus you get help with range and accuracy from keep away plus origin trait then you get even more aim assist from headseeker

collective action seems really good on a stasis weapon, i might throw tempest on my hoarfrost surge build
Finally back on the grind, picked up some weapons, and checking out the vid before trashing new stuff. Got my answer in the first 20 seconds.... still stuck around for the rest of the video to show my Joe love.
In the database the festival of the lost weapons are already up outside of any new weapons. A weapon that I'm really interested in is the horror story because it is becoming a stasis weapon and can roll demo in column one and head stone and column two just like the crucible SMG.
I finally finished the witch queen campain this season im glad i did it was so good and i cant wait to start the seasonal activitys.

if you dont like pvp you can wait till festival of the lost and get demo headstone on Horror Story later this season.
It may have a questionable perk pool for PvE, but Kept Confidence has easily the best feel of any hand cannon I've thrown into a loadout in the last year. It's just a really fun toy for clicking heads with.
Unending Tempest w/ Dynamic Sway and Casscade is a straight meme in pvp

I guess they thought it would be too potent. Then again Forebearance exists sooo
If you ever played with Forbearance, you know that Chain Reaction is mostly for looks, since waveframes dont make enemies bodies go flying - the range of Chain Reaction becomes pretty pathetic. Every time I shoot at a group of ads, the wave kills the most of them and then there are like 2 dregs standing a step to the left and a step to the right from the main group of ads and Chain Reaction doesn't do any damage to them at all. But yeah, explosions look cool.

@@toccata6250 I have the exact opposite problem when using salvager's salvo, the body flies everywhere and chain reaction just can't hit anything because of that.

The Horror Story 450 RPM Auto from Festival of the Lost also rolls with Demo/Headstone and has a much smaller perk pool. Not the best archetype and after some crucible rep resets you can get more perk rolls. But that's a roll I didn't know about until I just looked it up and now I think I'm going to farm for one this Fall
Looks like it's a reprised version of the 2018 kinetic version that's stasis this time!
@@frankienoonan Yep, which was a revamp of Origin Story, a top tier auto in year one.
Do not use those High Impact Frames in dps rotations with Izzy and Rockets. Stick to rapid fire for better swap timing. If your not running Izzy then yes they are good but the charge time is too slow for Izzy rocket rotations and Cartisan with vorpal is better. Eremite shines alot more if your on tractor duty!

You can get more damage on the eremite with reservoir burst until you get into your last few shots.
the new vanguard sniper is actually quite interesting. clown + precision instrument so the more headshots = more dmg also we dropping into the hellmouth boys! we gotta teach crota another lesson.
Would precisión instrument be better with FourthTTC? Also is precision instrument or focused fury better?

Demo dead messenger with osmiomancy is pretty cracked.
The new Gambit void machine gun is legit.
Want the kinetic smg and updated Law. But don't think it's gonna pair well with lucky pants. Since it only stacks up 10x you'd hit the cap so fast and each shot doesn't do as much as a regular handconnon the dmg isn't gonna be nearly as good as others. Its the same issue with crimson, ya it works but there are much better guns to use with lucky pants that greatly surpass it.

The reason i dont use dead messenger is because forbearance is simply better due to a funny little perk called chain reaction. If dead messenger had this perk it would be better but alas it does not

Agree with everything here except for Unending Tempest. It's just an average smg honestly and there are better Stasis weapons out there

It seems like bungie gives us less and less desirable loot each season. They need to give us plenty of good loot to chase after so it gives people plenty of reason to farm and this season there is maybe 2 decent pve guns and 2 pvp guns and everything else is low to mid
Thats what causes power creep. Not everything needs to be meta. The handcanon has got alot of love from pvp, the rocket is a good option for those who dont raid. The scout is great on void builds again if you dont raid and have Doom. Eremite is god tier. Sniper and machine gun are horrible weapon frames unfortunately.

Datto called them mid in his video covering them, and while it comes across as a slight, it's accurate. The seasonal weapons seem to have settled into solid mid tier weapons for newer players and people who don't do high end content (GMs, dungeons, raids), or to help them get into end game content.
For anyone with a vault over flowing in end game ready gear, these weapons are lackluster and not worth chasing, but there's a big portion of the player base that's not the case for that these weapons are worthwhile.
@@Welverin exactly dude, i was running a Kings Fall earlier today and this guy was new to the game and the only weapon he had was the seasonal rocket with explosive light. Told him to put that on and he kept up with damage. If i was a new player and i saw 5 solid (not great but solid) weapons i would jump on that. Im quite a hardcore player with over 4k hours in D2 but im still out here chasing some raid red borders. Seasonal weapons will never be god tier outside of a few outliers such as Ikelos and Mini Tool.
@@fishnutz5196 I've only been able to raid consistently a couple times in the years I've been playing, but despite missing out on some of that top tier stuff, my vault is consistently full and it's hard to find room for new seasonal weapons.
Told a friend recently, for me to bother crafting a new weapon it has to do something unique or interesting. e.g. I have an overflow/controlled burst adept Loaded Question, a solar version isn't a good enough reason to craft Eremite. Heal clip and reservoir burst is intriguing though.

Good to see someone finally talk about the Unending Tempest PvE roll of demo + frenzy. That’s the same god roll of Unforgiven from the Duality dungeon, but now in the Kinetic slot so you can still run Forbearance or Dead Messenger. Just got this roll last night after 90+ engrams and 3 resets. It feels so nice.

Unending Tempest is going to get me into Crucible, and Cataphract is going to get me into Trials. F
Nox Perennial is really disappointing. Fires way, way, WAY too slow and frankly gets out-DPS'd when it matters by others. Seriously, just use an energy fusion instead. I feel like any other primary fusion does more damage more consistently and faster than Nox. That charge time is just so slow it gets you killed.

You forgot the new strand rocket imo. Bipod and field prep or field prep and explosive light!
I definitely like it, just wish it was in an Adaptive or Aggressive Archetype
It'll be solid for Strand Surge activities but won't really compete with Apex or Cold Comfort imo

The strand rocket seems like it’s a solid option especially strand builds. I am glad it’s a good damage archetype
The eyasluna is the only other gun that can roll with demolitionist and headstone.
Fire and forget linear fusion can, and the “new” auto rifle from this years season of the lost will be able to, and has far fewer perks so the grind won’t be as horrible
