  • This morning was rather quiet for the most part, not to mention fairly wet from the rain. I haven’t seen 7181 lead for a while until now, not to mention the Trio pulling some logs this time around.
I still don’t know the whereabouts for NS 278 & 279, but I have a feeling PSR could have something to do with it. But I can only wait it out, but some Corman power will have to do.
I hope you all have a good rest of your day, and see you next time.

@easttnrailray5685 Hey Billy, no it didn’t appear today but I finally got an answer for the lack of rail traffic as of late. On the latest post from the Knox County Engineering & Public Works Facebook page it reads “NS will have the crossings at 1714 West Emory Road and 7630 Commerce Road closed from July 29 - August 1, 2024 for railroad crossing replacements.”
Basically MOW and repair work, It must be why neither 278 or 279 haven’t been going through here the last few weeks. Except the Corman’s have kept passing through this line. I’m relieved I found this out, and that NS is continuing to do a great job maintaining their trackage.

@AlikStansberry NS is constantly maintaining the tracks it seems somewhere, and that's good. I hope they get it repaired soon so that you can get back on the action.
