It’s a lot to ask from such a young actor, to carry the end scene of a feature film and she completely pulled it off. She’s absolutely exceptional. Bradly too. So vulnerable when he’s answering her question. Beautiful scene.
This girl going to win an Oscar one day I love how she acts in this part of the movie. I think its good choice to play Bradley Cooper daughter Amazing one of my best movies.
So beautifully enacted! I think Danielle Russell was simply awesome! By far the best scene in the movie. Come to think of it... the best scene in a long time in any movie! Thank you Cameron Crowe.
... one of the most powerful scenes where amazing acting stands in the spotlight. Danielle Rose Russell did an amazing job here, ... one of my favorite scenes ever.
It's always a good feeling to come here and see comments that mirror the exact same ones you had in mind already. This scene is the best of the movie. The girl's acting draws out different emotions in me and the music is so appropriate and very touching. I went back to 10 years ago in my life being so much fun than it is now. The eye communication thing in this movie is such a great addition! 💜
One of the most beautiful, stunning scenes in cinema history. Like the scene from Mayerling with Catherine Deneuve and Omar Sharif. The eyes alone can communicate so much love.
Never saw this movie but saw a preview while watching another and decided to search for scenes. This absolutely broke me down to tears and I have no idea what exactly is going on. Such a well acted and powerfully emotional scene!
If you still haven’t seen the movie and want to know, basically: Bradley Cooper’s character, Brian Gilcrest, found out earlier in the movie that the girl (Grace) was his daughter that he had with Rachel McAdams character Tracy and later Woody (Tracy’s husband played by John Krasinski) told Brian that he knew Grace was his Daughter so Brain went to see Grace and it leads to the scene here.
A touching, moving scene - and so natural. The emotion on their faces comes subtly, gradually ..... reaching a height with both in tears. Later, the joyful yet melancholy smile of acceptance. She didn't register much throughout the story as the script concentrates on the adults, but always that presence of beauty even without words. And it all climaxed in this father and daughter scene, but no way at all she can acknowledge him because of the other dad who loves her like his own, long before this one turns up.
I bawled my eyes out in this scene. Perfectly executed. I actually liked the whole movie, though there was a lot going on like what critics have said, I think the message was perfectly clear to me.
I have watch this movie 2 times in 2 days . Simple and beautiful. This scene is heartwarming but also the scene where the 2 fathers talk without words.
this movie is so beautiful all the way through and ends in this beautiful scene where no words are needed. i can't remember having seen something that good acting and emotionally-wise in movies for years. this movie is so uplifting and full of amazing scenes where you can literally grab the connection between people with your hands. bradley cooper even though is still in the position where people rate him based on stuff like hangover. not bad either, but this guy has created some emotional scenes over the past few years that kept me thinking about it for days.
I just watched this movie. The ending sleighed me. My son walked down the stairs to me crying on the couch. What a sweet moment. Teared up again watching this.
One of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen in a movie. It is amazing how perfectly she portrays the emotions of such a moment without speaking a word. The inner beauty shown just enhances her outer beauty. Best scene in the movie. I actually watched the Legacies series because of her, and I hate all that vampire/werewolf/ witch stuff.
Her: oh it’s this guy again. this is weird. I’ll just show a smile and pay respect. Why is he here thou? Alone? Wait… is… he…??? Him: yup… I… am Her. Ohhhhhhhhhhh Wtf
Suggestion: watch the entire movie to catch the whole meaning behind this lovely scene. Couldn't help but melt into tears upon such a deep but natural display of feelings. In some other moments of the movie the "no words but we understand eachother" thing is fun. Like in some HIMYM scenes too. Here it's simply a matter of connection between souls. OMG, the pure eyes and look of Grace. And the sudden loving and honest look coming from that Brian badass. Not an expert in Hawaiian dance and culture, but Danielle must be certainly gifted to execute such a beautiful hula coming from NJ...
Beutiful, delicate and heartbreaking allegory of girl turning into woman. And of how is the father's support, love and acceptance can contibute to this...
I ugly cried at this. I wish my dad had given a crap about me and this girl has two dads who love her. My mom had to force him to come to my band and choir concerts and they were just a few a year.
Nooo that is not Bradley Cooper's daughterr. Thats Hope Mikealson, the most bad ass tribrid, first of her kind and daughter of Klaus Mikealson and Hayley Marshall. She is so cute tho
@@elvisvan umm. The comment was a joke for tvd fans. I have seen aloha. Loved the movie. My response has nothing to do with that. So.....'honey, chill'.

Yeah she is amazing
I loved this scene, me to brinette, bradley amazing to
Unbelievable acting, she nailed every tiny nuance of the moment and all the emotions rushing into her body. Give her an Oscar
Perfectly captured, so natural, such an underrated scene in film lovely acting such strong emotions communicated without words
Very true. Both actors showed some real chops.
I can't believe this movie didn't get the approval it so deserved
The glowing smile on her face as she returns to dance, the found love between them, the orchestral swell. Truly beautiful.
This girl going to win an Oscar one day I love how she acts in this part of the movie. I think its good choice to play Bradley Cooper daughter Amazing one of my best movies.
Amazing song
She is an actress now, her name is Danielle Rose Russell, search her up :))
People...please watch the entire movie. This is one of the best scenes ever filmed, but it deserves full context to be truly appreciated.
Yes indeed.
Any man who has a daughter knows that this one hug changed his life forever.❤
So beautifully acted. No words are spoken yet you know what they are saying. Very emotional and awesome scene!

ya i know
This last scene, so emotional and beautifully acted, made the whole movie worthwhile watching!
Ana Gimenez I agree wholeheartedly.
One more agreeing :)
no
I did not know that Danielle (Hope from the Originals/Legacies) was the daughter!!!!
And I also didn’t know that this girl is Hope, I just know that she’s pretty 😍
Her smile is so beautiful, it's the cutest thing.
That smile is priceless and no words are needed

I LOVE how she just knew!!!
I mean he kinda told her haha remember the silent conversations?
Amazing scene. The weave in of three different songs when she moves her hands in a circle. Such an underrated movie..
A scene without saying a single word, only gestures. Few movies have moments like this. The actress, simply perfect.
As a father to two young daughters this scene gets me every time; misty eyed right now!
It's always a good feeling to come here and see comments that mirror the exact same ones you had in mind already.

This is the first time I watched this scene from Aloha and i was completely blown away!

I don't know how she asked the question at 0:44 "Are you my father" with just a facial expression. But somehow she did. Just incredible.

I watched this movie long time and now I’m just watching it all over again cause of Danielle R ( Hope Mikaelson ) 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Been waiting for someone to post this scene.

That's why we love the movies and arts, ain't it? Great acting and perfect direction. Wow
This is my favorite scene in this movie. It's the best.
I love this movie so much. This scene squeezes my heart. So beautiful
That's so beautiful, thank you for posting it. Made me weepy...
That girl is so beautiful
Coco White hope Mikealson
Danielle Rose Russell
Surprise to curiosity, then doubt to negation, then acceptance to joy.
Zero words exchanged.
I loved the movie. It's a great underrated movie. But fell in love with this scene the most. So beautiful. Had me cry every time.
One of the most underrated movie scenes ever❤️
I just watched this movie again, it is the best moment especially when she smiles. Beyond Emma stone and Rachel McAdams. Really.
I love the proud expression on her face & the peaceful one on his.
This scene I believe is a nod to the husband's character - he taught them that words are not that important.
Hope 😍
Danielle Rose Russell is a truly great actress. Everything is on her face!
one of the 2 scenes that made me cry, father-daughter relationship, an indescribable beauty
No dialogues required. Pure filmmaking at its finest.
Amazing scene......best part of the film by far.
Her: oh it’s this guy again. this is weird. I’ll just show a smile and pay respect. Why is he here thou? Alone? Wait… is… he…???

Definitivamente una de las escenas más hermosas y que llega a lo más dentro del corazón humano. Es majestuosa la actuación de esta hermosa chica.
This is how movies should b , without making it obvious with dialogues, instead with great acting
That moment in real life is priceless.
Francis Baymax It truly is. I'm a father... and my daughter and I actually had this very same moment together.
She's not wearing makeup here She would've looked even better in the originals without makeup
The best makeup are her pure eyes.
Wow extraordinary scene , great moments , hard feelings without one word
Just beautiful.
This reminds me of my daughter!! I haven’t seen her in years.
Rene Gonzalez why!?😢💔 sorry for asking!!
Omar zuzu her mother and I got divorced and my ex put a lot of things in her head to go against me , so she doesn’t talked to me.
