I tried some questionable action that you can do... or not, in Terraria, like deleting everything on Terraria world, and checking if the world is evil or not. and I tried to check if there's ore spawn just by breaking one altar or not. How about some defense stat, going down? Can negative defense happen in Terraria? What would it do when if it was actually possible?... Well, it is impossible, how do you find that, you might ask, well, we do have the power of modding. Terraria mods, like calamity...
...Wonder if you somehow tried this in normal world and condition, like placing every banner in master mode? That would be very difficult...

Illuminant paint will make all of your walls visible which helps for pixel art, pirate flag lets you do a nuanced shade for those particular shades, and please, put the last shadow paint tile on your purple guy it’s very noticeable

A long time ago when I used to play terraria on my iPad, I had already pretty much much been placing every banner I got in my base as long as it was unique from the last- plus if I remember correctly It was just filled with clutter and built with dirt. What about multiple banners? For example 10 slime banners? Do the effects stack?
Probably when you break an altar, the game will look at a random spot and see if it has stone that can be replaced with ore; if not, it tries another spot, but after too many tries, it gives up. So in a world with almost no blocks in it you'd need to be extremely lucky for the ore to actually appear. (Luck buff wouldn't help either)

In calamity, if you use king slime lore without armour, you get negative defence.
Actually in calamity, you don't need to go to the abyss, if you favorite king slime lore item it removes 3 defense, so without anything you can get to negative defense

But damn i love to collect banners, i have banners collection at my world and the hardest one to get was the wyvern banner, i am trying to get the rainbow slime banner like really thats the best banner in game
