  • Review how to make complex boundary surfaces in Solidworks by extruding the profile, trimming each surface from the top, connecting with 3D sketch splines and finally building the surface using a boundary surface. The extruded surfaces are just used to create the boundary. This method lets you have maximum control over complex surfacing.

Great videos, I enjoy watching them! I also like replicating in other CAD systems. I.e. Creo

2:07 Good to know. Sometimes, I use loft or boundary without any guide curves and it comes out perfect with just the edge condition(normal to sketch). So, now I don't mind taking my time to use [composite curve] to join all the segments.

Very nice and quick. The "taught" way is to surface loft with multiple sketch planes.

This is how I build all of my compound surfaces, it's super efficient and easy to edit.
