If I were a judge in a state competition I would give them 1st Superior. The clarinet player nailed his opening glissando. The trumpet was right on the mark. The pianist was excellent. The entire orchestra was 1st rate. This is the best performance by a high school orchestra that I have heard so far. Great job!
How unfortunate there was no bassoonist in the orchestra. There is a great Oboe/Bassoon soli at 8:50 that was paved over with strings instead. Oh well... Great performance!
