- Track# 9 from my 2001 "Serfin' the Beat" album
This is the only ballad on the CD, co-produced & engineered by Gerry Fielding (at Gerry's Garage) . . Gerry also did the drums, and I did the rest with the exception of the Celestial Vocal Choir, which was provided by Roxanne Tellier and Sharon Kaczmarczyk . . beauty! - Видеоклипы
This just became my favourite performance of yours.
Thanks, Michael . . coincidentally, it's one of my favourite songs of all the tunes I ever wrote, too
Sounds terrific, Shawn, Gerry, Roxanne and Sharon...kudos, gang. 👍😉✌😘🎶💞
'Serfing the Beat'...is that a 'Slave to the Rhythm' kind of thing? I once wrote a 'note to self/later' type thing: 'Ride the Wild Serfdom'. Never did anything with it. Nowhere in particular to go with the feudal angle, except looking around with friends over drinks or whatever and saying, "Right? Huh?!"
Yeah, it's a play on the word "serf" (as in, no choice but to work on the master's estate) = working the beat . . on the inside cover, it said ("Sometimes ya work the beat . . sometimes, it works you . . in any case, it never hurts to CRANK IT !" )
@@Shimmyoday2 yeah, absolutely!
