    Thank you so much for your Cha Cha basic tutorials. My Cha Cha needs a complete relearning because our teacher here (in New Zealand) didn't teach us basics, just a routine to dance to. After watching your videos and practicing the movements, now my feet is looking more Cha Cha like. Thank you so so much!

    I find that my heels click a lot when I do these walks especially when trying to make the steps sharp. Is that a bad thing or normal?

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  5 лет назад +1

      Hi there thank you for your question. Honestly heels sound is something we have to try to eliminate. If when you dance, you make a lot of noise, it probably means that you can improve on controlling your footwork and receiving of your body weight (first ball then whole foot )
      A little bit of noise it’s OK but if it’s too much it means something is wrong :)
      Check yourself on rumba walks and see how much noise do you make there.
      🙏🏻😉

    == Feet/Leg Placement & Alignment ==
    Alexey alluded to it, but forgot to clarify the requirement of the lead foot placement in order to maintain the "body line" and balance in the Cha Cha Walks. Front foot placement is Not flat and Not heal - flat.
    When the leg comes through to become the lead leg & foot, the foot is pointing forward & down. Then, the placement of the lead foot is "ball - flat".
    Slow the video down and watch Alexey's lead foot to see it land "ball-flat".
    Notice that the ChaCha Walks, the feet placements, do not travel in parallel to each other like regular everyday walking. ChaCha Walking moves in CBM (Contra Body Movement) which means, in ChaCha Walks, each forward foot placement is on the same single straight line from the standing foot. In other words, your following a single straight line. This also means the back trailing/standing leg must also remain on that single line up to the moment you bring that trailing standing leg back through to become the lead leg & foot.
    Watch Alexey's walk, he does that exactly.
