Brush settings are also located on my site under the video. You will need to tweet them to get the desired look, but the basics are there.
Amazing idea really fantastic ! salutes to you sir , this is the perfect pencil stroke ! Thanks a lot !
Thanks TutExpert, I am just a point and shooter, but Found your tutorial very enlightening.
Fantastic-this is, by far, one of the best tutorials I've seen on this effect. Exactly what I'm trying to accomplish with a particular project-thanks so much for your terrific tutorial!
A great thank you TutExpert. I used your technique to create my own comic on RUclips. I think you have the best way to convert a photo into a drawing that looks really nice :-) (as i use it i might not be that objective :-P)
Thank you for the tutorial. It is a novel way to address the photo to sketch methods.
Excelente. Gracias por compartir.
CTRL+SHIFT+U is also desaturate and ALT-clicking the layer mask button makes a black layer mask. Just needed to point that out. ;D
best sketching tutorial for beginners or as well as experts :)
Thank you, this tutorial is very useful. I have also gotten good results at times leaving the image in color.
I love this technique for creating a charcoal/pencil image. I have never seen it before.
Genial amigo, muchas gracias! excelente tu trabajo. (Great friend, thank you very much! excellent your job).

It's a beautiful tutorial with beautiful results. I have a problem completing this tutorial with the photoshop CS6 which I have. My question is which version of photoshop are you using in your tutorial
I'm using CS6 Extended. On my site under the video, I have a link to the brush which is an important part... maybe it will be a help to you. Hope this helps...
Great
Thank you! That's awesome man!
I've added a 32 Bit version which may help with older versions of Photoshop, and I've posted a picture of the exact settings I used when creating the brush. tutexpert.com/photoshop-drawing-sketch-effect/ is the link.

Lee Jackson CS6 Extended

I was using BitCasa for sometime to host the files I've created and used in my videos. I am now using DropBox, so if you've tried to download any of my Zip files, go to my website, scroll to the bottom of the video and article and there should be a link that is now pointing to my DropBox Files. Thanks so much for all your support and comments!
so simple!!! :) thnx mann

I am using Photoshop elements and tried to use every possible brush there but I can not get the effect shown in this videol I tried to download the 64 bit and 32 bit burshes and add them to my brush list but still I do not find them as choices to pick. What am I doing wrong? Please help.
Very good course
Thank you. Very Informative. I Hope to see more and in Mechanical Design would be very cool. I could Photo Shoot A Current Freight train , And Implement Changes ? Like to Aerodynamics or a new Motor design? Got my attention.
do you have that same brush set that works with photoshop elements? because whenever I try to use either the 64bit or 32bit brush set, it says it's not compatible with my version of photoshop
i can't see the tool panel.
WHICH BRUSH DID YOIU USE?
Excelente
Love the tune at the beginning - whats the name?
It's an included mp3 with Camtasia Studio... I think its called "Come and Play". Great software for screen recording.
I’ve added a link on the site to download the preset that was used in the video… good luck… feel free to post a link of your work in the comments! Link to brush is in the description ... scroll down under the video will be the link to the brush.
hello, i have photoshop cs4. which brush should i use cause it doesn't have the one you are showing here.
I used a standard brush but adjusted the settings to create lines that could be used as a scraping type effect. I don't know if you've tried going to my site, but I have the brushes there for download. If they don't work, contact me through my site and I'll see if I can help you.
thank you very very very very damn muchhhhhhhh
Nice.
What's the purpose of locking a layer ?
Thanks for the helpful video. I get an error when I tried to load the brush file in both PS CS3 and PS elements. Anyone else has the same problem?
Most likely it is because I'm using CS6. I will look into it and see if there is anything I can do, but in the meantime, you can try to "re-create" the brush.
Getting an error message that says -
Could not use the history brush because the history state does not contain a corresponding layer.
Message shows up after I add the layer mask. Help please
This brush is to be loaded into your standard brush palette and is not intended for use with the history brush. The concept is to create a regular brush that paints on a layer mask revealing the image. The layer mask hides the original image and this brush paints on that mask showing small portions of the image below. The history brush shouldn't be used to create this effect, just use the standard paint brush and you should be fine. Hope this helps.
It did, thanks
TutExpert web site to download this program??
adobe.com
TutExpert once I go from there, (adobe.com), what do I go from there step by step please.
nice
i cant download the brush in your site. please help 😢
I have replaced the links... I was previously using BitCasa but since they are not longer around, I'm using DropBox. Let me know if you have any issues. Thanks so much!
unable to download this brush
👍🙏😃
Thank you but I can't see the too panel
I think the video zoomed in when I recorded and covered the left panel.. Just so you know, the primary tool is the brush tool. I've included a link to download the brush tool under the video on my website.... here is the link tutexpert.com/photoshop-drawing-sketch-effect/... hope this helps.
Thank you
wtf was the purpose of showing the first way if you didnt finish
bro you went from one way to another wtf :,)
Soooo, the tutorial starts at 1:54??
most simple most effective way
The brush isn't working no matter what I do. EDIT: I got it to work, but the lines aren't soft/thin enough. FINAL EDIT: nvm, I'm a dumbass. I had it on Pencil instead of Brush for some reason 🤦🏻♀️
There is a compact version of the Art Studio. ruclips.net/video/9U6IiJnJHdY/видео.html
Ah, The song of youtube
5:40 min yes sr, hatching.-...and it takes us pro draftsman to do that manually some hours , shame on PS.Obviously ,nothing personal nor saying anything bad about PS, but something worth to be considered.
too fast tutorial
Thanks for changing your tutorial half way :/
shue
Dude you sound like butthead :) from beavis and butthead.

ROFLOL You just spent over 4 minutes off on tangents. It's frustrating seeing someone trying to learn and you as the teacher talk about other techniques. Please try to stay focused on the subject and maybe, I will be back and learn from you.
not good tutorial :p
which version of photoshop did you used?
