  • Bookmaker experiment - Professional gambler test 10 sports betting operators. The results are in, and in this long-awaited video, we are sharing our findings with you.
For the record, the experiment took place over a 12 week period, and our last payout was on 22 December. Accordingly, we wagered until the accounts were badly limited, albeit we could have extracted more by playing a longer game.
For the record, there are methods for getting a bit more out of ‘’soft bookmaker’’ accounts. I will share a video on how to exploit this over the coming weeks. Please subscribe to the channel for a notification on that and future videos.
The ten bookmakers covered in this video are all UK licensed, they are:
    Bet365
    William Hill
    Marathonbet
    Betfred
    Ladbrokes
    VC bet
    Skybet
    888Sport
    Paddy Power
    Unibet
We used 5 people who are known to me, and before this experiment, none of them had ever opened a betting account. I should add, none have problems with satisfying KYC or proof of funding.
The accounts were self-funded, and all bets were struck over their own computers or mobile. Finally, we had prepared each for telephone calls from bookmakers, and none of the accounts was overly abused.
In any case, you can read all this and more on our website blog, and listen to the video.

Great video, the only thing missing was the average odds with each bookmaker as I'm sure some bookie would let bet more if the odds are under 3/1 especially on horse racing before you get restricted.

@Magic Mike - Honestly, we simply had to mix it up, and only 30-35% of the bets would have been racing. Also, bookies will have higher limits on big races, and lower on the crap. It's the same with football, betting in-play premier league is different to Turkey Superliga. NBA is different to college, outrights different to props, and so on.
We could have bet higher, but from our experience, we would get limited a lot faster and we needed the numbers to guarantee the profit. Data can always be more detailed, but at this level, it's important to keep the factors to a reasonable amount.
I believe we finished with a fair guide to each bookmakers worth, albeit the averages would have been different with 100 test accounts (people). Finally, factors can also come down to which risk managers are looking at accounts, so I don't believe we could have done anymore under the same time constraints.

Nice video, so what do you recommend for aspiring sport bettors like myself who want to make a living betting and make money long-term if eventually all the Sportbooks will eventually limit me? How can one sustain income long-term if the bookies will limit my bets?

Depends on how good you are! For those finding their own picks, bet in Asia! Alternatively, get a 2% Betfair account. There is no trace when betting in shops, or getting runners to do the same! Network with the right people, and be willing to pay others to open third party accounts. Where there is a will there's is a way. That's the part about being a PRO, finding solutions to problems.

@@BettingAnalyst thanks, i will do more research on this as well as network. I reside in the US, I have opened about 20 sportbooks in the US and a few offshore. I just been limited recently by MGM, Borgata and FanDuel which is why I asked the question, I believe Betfair is for Europe only correct? I have heard of peer to peer betting exchanges as another option, which will soon be available in my state, do you recommend those as well?

@@christiansierra8067 The biggest issue I see with the US taxes on winnings - Have sports books deducted anything when you went for payouts?
One thing I would strongly advise, don't ask for any payments until you are restricted (limited). It triggers a review of winning accounts, and then they then get limited.
The play in the States is cleaning up those massive bonuses (could even be Casino), rather than the less than generous (-110) betting lines.
With exchanges (p-2-p), the value will depend on commission. If it's set at 2% on winnings, and liquidity is good, you can create value.
If you Network, opening third party accounts in the US should be easy. The KYC is less than in Europe, and you just need to figure out payments.
Also, you can look further afield for betting partners, or even make a move if viable.

@@BettingAnalyst Ok thanks, and to answer your question on the payout, no the sportbooks don’t deduct anything, it is my responsibility to include my gambling winnings in my tax return every year. I heard in Las Vegas you don’t pay any tax on your gambling winnings, another option would be to move there I’m thinking, I mean once I get limited by most of the Sportsbook’s here in New Jersey.

@@christiansierra8067 Yes - put yourself around, a bit of State hopping! Just try and figure out your journey, what is possible and what not.
First thing first, extract what you can locally, and use the proceeds to fund your next move. Just see it as a business, keep reverse engineering and stay real with viability!
