    Thanks for your tutorial. I had 3.2GB of files in my Creative Cloud and deleted them all. All folders in the "files"-section are empty - fine. And in the bottom left corner it is written: 3.2GB used - that's fine as well, because the files should be in the trashcan. But when I open the folder "deleted" it's empty!?!? The deleted files have to be "somewhere" but I cannot find them. Do you have an idea, how to proceed?

      I'm afraid I don't, and it's a total mystery to me too. I must admit that I've moved on from Creative Cloud File Storage, it's of no use to me anymore. Syncing never worked reliably, trash was always an issue, and the Mac client wrecks havoc with my CPU usage. I can only assume Adobe don't want us to use this service, or they don't know how to fix it. I have several thousand files in my trash that won't go away, and it's no longer possible to select them all at once. I've moved on to another service - sorry I can't help 😔
      If you're in the same boat, and don't want to pay $120 for DropBox, have a look into OneDrive. They have a $1.99/month plan for 100GB, ample for my needs. The sync works reliably, there are no trash issues, it's integrated into Windows, and the Mac client is as lightweight and simple as I need it to be.

      @@WPguru , I appreciate you posting this comment (and this helpful video). Knowing that it's not reliable and that people are having trouble getting answers, I will no longer save any files to CC space, and instead use that space for my libraries, which I use a lot. Even then, I need to be careful and judicious.

    Hello,
    thank you for the long-awaited opportunity to really delete photos from the cloud. Unfortunately, there is no longer this button with which you can mark all photos in order to permanently delete them. this makes it very tedious to permanently delete only a few photos. Perhaps this is also what Adobe wanted.

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  3 года назад +4

      Indeed, some genius engineer thought it was a good idea to remove that delete all button. Sadly this has made the Creative Cloud unusable for me and I’ve moved on to OneDrive. It’s sad that I’ve got all this storage space with Adobe and there’s no reliable way to use it. #scam

    Thanks for this upload. I bought the photography package from Adobe yesterday. As soon as I signed in I was 25 GB over my storage capacity. I had 400 pictures that were Precinct. I deleted the 432 pictures and I'm still 25gb overcapacity! I've looked everywhere for the last 24 hours for a solution. There is nothing anywhere and I've heard of people even calling Adobe and can't find an answer.

      I didn’t either and found out the hard way 🥶 I wish they did it like Dropbox, or at least give us a “clear trash” option in the desktop app. How much space do you get with the Creative Cloud subscription? I’m on the Photoshop plan and I get 20GB.

    I don't have any files to delete but its saying my creative cloud is full. Could it be from my mobile app on my cell phone?

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  4 года назад

      I doubt it, the mobile app essentially looks at the web site. If a folder con your computer shows that you’re using less than the storage allocated to you, and the web interface shows that there are no deleted files you can clear out, something is wrong. Best get in touch with Adobe. I’ve had good experiences with their Twitter @AdobeCare, they’re very friendly and respond quickly.

      When in doubt, don’t do it 😂
      I’m not sure this option is still in the web interface. All I can tell you is that Creative Cloud file sync is THE biggest mess I have ever seen. It has never worked reliably and I’ve moved on to OneDrive. I highly recommend it. It’s cheaper than Dropbox and very reliable.

    How can I stop CC jamming up my C Drive with files?

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  Год назад

      In Photoshop there's a Preference Option under Scratch Disks, you can set this to different drive. Other apps like Premiere have a Media Cache option, you can purge that and/or move it to a different drive. It tends to get large over time.

      They did? Man, Creative Cloud File Sharing is the worst I’ve tried. The daemon sucks 99% CPU usage on my Mac and files never seem to sync properly. It’s a farce! They should just partner with Dropbox and give CC users 100GB of that instead.

      yep. and it seemls like now if u select say 500 files at a time w shift, then click permanently delete... it just melts down and generally says a few assets couldn't be deleted (which generally means nothing got done)

Even not the advice to set it to 0 in the Registry. Even that tool from Adobe does NO GOOD WORK. It is useless!
