Yeshua TOTALLY NORMAL because I AM 54 & a widow😂 & I STILL want to Marry & dedicate My life to this awesomely glorious being who is All'ah & EVERYTHING I NEED. After All'ah, He did propose to Me at Lake Tahoe in September of 1986...
I want to be Morrissey for one song!!! I want to know and feel how he feels when he sings lyrics like this. It must be powerful feeling all those hundreds of people in his flesh. I love you, Mozz.
I'm 16. All I can say about this music it's that transmits a feeling of reality, almost as it could understand your living experience. Not that it's tragic, but as it's full of... you know... lights that never goes out. Can you imagine something more real than your life?
It's amazing how Moz can still connect so deeply with an audience that large...it's like they are all his very closest friends, sharing their innermost thoughts.
This gig did have the best audience I have ever seen, a great mixture of ages (I was 16) but mainly middle aged people acting like 21 year olds again. Pure belief in the music, in the truth of the music and the beauty of the music. Good times.
Only a great man could just leave the stage like that...to enhance the credentials of his band..who deserve it...but how may would give it? Hats off...to this man..,he is the greatest...as a person...and a performer!
i was 15 when i heard it first ,like my friend alexandra was.now we are both 40 , still friends for live, and this is our song.wish u all the best and good friends
This video made me shiver... what a moment. I'd do anything to be there jumping and singing along. Such a powerfull concert. A legend sainging an anthem.
I completely agree esprit... it's sad that we will probably never see the two of them play together again. I held out hope a couple years ago and now it's gone.
its one of these songs, isnt it ?! really cant describe all the emotions it brings back to my mind. I am desperate in love with this great great singer and songwriter. always will.
What a GREAT song one of my favorite songs of MORRISSEY and of all times. This song brings back memories from my past girlfriends and all friends and of all the good times i had back then from the 80's and 90's WOW what a great song. I LOVE MORRISSEY. Thank you for all your music MORRISSEY truly you are the BESTN of the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I wonder if Morrissey knew in 1986 that people would still be moshing to these lyrics 20 years later! (actually, I guess he probably did!). He certainly knew its effect in the 80s as I've seen early footage of concerts then with an even more intense reaction of fans lucky enough to have known The Smiths when they were less famous.
And in the darkened underpass I thought "Oh God, my chance has come at last" but then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask... Nobody can write like this. This is the best song ever, by a mile!
Morrissey: the modern day Lord Byron, if not Messiah! Look at them, never before has an audience been so enthralled. His is the light that will never go out!
man i'd love to see Morrissey live.... tour north america again, please? music these days doesnt grab me by the balls. i think i was born in the wrong year. i shouldnt have to watch shows like this on the computer... i wish i coulda seen this live with my friends. this is awsome. :)
Me trae recuerdos de mi adolescencia, allà por los años '80, este es un tema originalmente interpretado por The Smith's, de donde proviene Morrissey, obviamente.
I saw Moz back in the day.It was a killer show.He was swinging the mic stand and whipping the cord.It was a reserved seating show in a very posh place so we were regulated to the balcony first set..however second set there was and a rush and a push to the stage..in the end Moz was less than ten feet away.Pretty kewl aye
I deeply regret the absence of this song in Refusal Tour. During the Warsaw show Mozz passed microphone to a fan who said "please play A Light That Never Goes Out" and Mozz laughingly said No!.
to be Morrisseey in this situation would be extacy for a performer. to be on a stage in front of that many people, young and old, singing words that you wrote yourself? god. i would do anything to play a show like this.
I'm nearly 40 and this song still moves me to tears am I normal?
Absolutly yes!!!
And when you are 56 and have heard this song a thousand times
Yeshua TOTALLY NORMAL because I AM 54 & a widow😂 & I STILL want to Marry & dedicate My life to this awesomely glorious being who is All'ah & EVERYTHING I NEED. After All'ah, He did propose to Me at Lake Tahoe in September of 1986...
A remarkable, remarkable man, he is brutally human, so utterly raw, so utterly captivating.
This ain't beautyful, this IS fabulous!
Jeez, i cannot imagine anyone making a song like this!
Morrissey absolutely rules!
I want to be Morrissey for one song!!! I want to know and feel how he feels when he sings lyrics like this. It must be powerful feeling all those hundreds of people in his flesh. I love you, Mozz.
I'm 16.

i'm so impressed by audience.
It's amazing how Moz can still connect so deeply with an audience that large...it's like they are all his very closest friends, sharing their innermost thoughts.
When you think about it, there's isn't really a song as romantic as this. Moz and his lyrics at their very best.
The lyrics of this song are just pure genius. When you write and perform songs like that, you can be as aloof and arrogant as you bloody well like.
this is one of the most beautiful perfomances i've ever seen
if you ever have the chance , go to a morrissey concert .. and when this song starts to play .. just close your eyes and sing along , so perfect :)
Look how excited they all sing along. The power of lyrics and Morrissey's voice :)
i'm 33 years old and i have loved morrissey and the smiths since i was 15! Viva Mozz!!!
He’s just so fkn good

This video made me shiver... what a moment. I'd do anything to be there jumping and singing along. Such a powerfull concert. A legend sainging an anthem.

Utterly brilliant. Somehow it is even more melancholy in this version since Morrisey is older here.
When I was a teen, I recorded a whole 90-min-tape only with this song.
It´s perfect, the best song in the world, far, far superior than any other one.
Morrissey and red bricks. The icons of Manchester.
somebody tell who the hell dislike this video, dear lord!!!!!!!, morrisey got magic on his voice!!
Fantastic! I was there at front left of stage...somewhere! It was a great day.

Morrissey: the modern day Lord Byron, if not Messiah! Look at them, never before has an audience been so enthralled. His is the light that will never go out!
I doubt the sky is blue in your world. It's obviously whatever color Morrissey wants it to be. Thanks again, I couldn't make this up if I tried.

Agreed, the combination is what made the songs work.
He had some great albums in the 90s, and at least 1 that I liked in the 00's ^^.
This is by far the best song ever made.
And, NO, nobody can convice me that I am wrong!
How Morrissey has matured into a rock icon; he's got 'it'.

Es un maestro. De haber estado ahí, lloro.
lyrics
Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Anymore
Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people and I
Want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their
Home, and I'm welcome no more
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine
Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought oh God, my chance has come at last
(But then a strange fear gripped me and I
Just couldn't ask)
Take me out tonight
Oh, take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one,
Oh, I haven't got one
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine
Oh, there is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out

Morrisey, a dream
Morrissey is the saviour!
There appears to be 8 people who's finger must have slipped and they have accidentally clicked dislike for this awesome video.
