@@cortesyes It is not uncommon for characters that were rare to die easily later to appear alive as if nothing had happened like the Martian detective, so surely Klarion is still alive, just that he is hiding.
To be fair, in the avengers movie, Loki, the god of trickery, gets pummeled by the Incredible Hulk, and could’ve easily died at that moment if hulk wanted to.
Injustice is one of those comics where I'm confused on how to feel. The main point of them was to explain why X person(s) couldn't stop Superman, with the only exception being year 1 and 5 since those were setting the premise up. Year 0 is why the JSA were MIA, Year 2 is Street Level Fighters and Green Lanterns dying, Year 3 is magic users dying, Year 4 is Greek Gods dying. If not handled with care, the story could go from being character driven and emotional to just being Marvel's Ultimatum. In this case, I feel like Tom Taylor (who wrote years 1-3) was able to keep it character driven and not just murder after murder. But, post year 3, it kind of felt that it was no longer character driven and thus I feel like it became much worse. The deaths no longer had meaning to me. So I think it's definitely a comic that gives me mixed emotions.
Major difference between this and Ultimatum is that Ultimatum shat all over a whole multi-year continuity (the already-established Ultimate Universe) with permanent consequences, while Injustice was an alternate timeline *made specifically* so they could have Superman commit atrocities without affecting any other major stories. I appreciate Injustice a lot more because of this, and I wish Marvel had done something similar by doing something Civil War-esque in an alternate timeline.
