Everyone knows that Batman doesn't kill (except Zack Snyder) but in some circumstances Batman has had no other option and has been forced to sacrifice some people for the greater good. And this video is about 5 times when Batman has intentionally killed.

I've liked Johnny Quick's death ever since the first time I saw the movie. He wasn't mad, sad, or felt betrayed but he was rather amused and impressed and he didn't care about it.
Kind of reminds me of Ra's. Mild praise will likely haunt him forever
His response was basically "Yeah I totes would have done it anyway, even if I'd known."
Respect to Johnny Quick, even when he figured out Batman knew he’d die, he was a good sport about it.
What is crazy is I am sure he realized while in there, but kept at it
In the middle of his fazing, he really went "Wait this is gonna kill me? Oh, oh well"

Johnny Quick practically sacrificed his life to save the entire multiverse...

I think the Joker’s death in Arkham City was the most impactful. Not just because it was the Joker’s fault and he still got the last laugh if you count Arkham Knight, but because Batman did think it through and give a good point to Joker’s madness, “Every decision you’ve ever made ends with death and misery, people die, I stop you, and you just break out and do it again. “ Plus Batman still has a great line to boot that one “Even after everything you’ve done, I would have saved you.” RIP Kevin Conroy, the true Batman
I'm definitely a little skeptical about Owlman. Batman gave him rather easy means to escape death after warping away from Earth Prime. Owlman just chose not to take it.
Whatever choice he made he'd have made all possible choices. Action or inaction, it literally didn't matter, especially on a mission that was a spiteful murder-suicide from the start. It was definitely a suicide to the end.
The choice was to explode or starve on an ice world.

The Owlman one is pretty great, as Batman left him the device at the end so he could've escaped. Owlman was so committed to his nihilistic ways that he did the only thing that mattered: he made no choice
nihilism is the curse of a person smart enough to realize life has no meaning, it’s just a never ending cycle of life and death with decay as the force to wipe the slate clean.
But that person is to stupid to realize that they got them selves all worked up over something they wouldn’t listen to even if it did exist.
Most people don’t fallow there parents, friends, society’s meaning for life. What would change if your life came with a meaning?
Your the author of your life and entropy/decay has given you a clean stack of paper, stop worrying about what color the pencil is and write something.
That makes complete sense
I liked that guys character, its like he's more batman than batman
Owl man is quite a nerd for that
Which means you could argue that Batman didn't kill him. He put him into a situation where he could save himself, and he chose not to. (It's not even a Jigsaw situation where he had to do something awful to save himself, all he had to do was take a few steps and push a button).
Hey don’t forget that one guy Batman killed in Batman Returns when he threw the dynamite on him and pushed him into a sewer. The dynamite explodes right after he falls and the explosion is huge he 100% died, and Batman walks away without a care xD
I was going to mention this instance, but checked the comments first and am happy to be beaten on this one - there's next to no chance that Batman didn't commit this action with any reasonable expectation other than "this is going to explode and kill this henchman in a moment" - and he was happy about it!
You know Batman was the first costume vigilante that actually killed some one..
It was only in the silver age that he stopped killing folks out of hand.
I think his first comic he kicks a guy into like a giant thing of acid and pretty much said “he got what he deserved”
Let's not forget that Batman literally has a gun on his hand, shooting the guy in a coffin.
I think he stopped killing people because the comics code was getting big.

Big Rick that’s a good one
@@ShortPuff yeah his choices caused deaths, won't argue that one, but saying Batman killed them normally associates with Batman was the one who directly took their lives, be it intentionally or unintentionally, it isn't a choice that inadvertently caused a death, but batmans direct actions that took a life
9:47 The way he just says it doesn't matter then smiles before he died really shows how insane he is and how much he doesn't care about himself since there are a million earths and probably in one he does save himself so he just decides to die cause "it doesn't matter"
Actually the reason Ra's says he is proud of batman is not because he has put him out of his misery. It's because he has finally gotten batman to learn to do what's necessary to achieve his goals. Even if it means letting someone die on purpose
In all truth owl man could of shut the bomb off and saved himself so it is kind of a suicide

Spyko I don't think the planet was empty I think that owlman purposefully landed where there were no nearby people to stop him
For the Ra's Al Ghul scenario, Batman talks about that in Batman Rises. He says " I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you." That's exactly what happened there. He didn't kill him, he just didn't save him

Needlemouse: "5 times batman has killed someone"

I mean the last kill was also logical. Either save the Flash (a hero who saved countless lives and will continue to do so even if it means to sacrifice himself) or save Johnny Quick (a villain who has very likely killed many innocent and/or good people, and has helped in restricting freedom of an Earth's population, and has committed other crimes as well). Obviously save the Flash. However Batman gave Johnny an opportunity to redeem himself and sacrifice his life to save all the life in all multiverses.
Technically Owlman chose to die since he lost to Batman; he could've aborted the bomb detonation right there, the Dark Knight left him with a chance to save himself but he didn't take it.
Uhh no Batman teleported Owlman and the bomb to a different planet and if Owlman didn't save himself then technically he did killed him because the bomb set off the same bomb that Batman teleported.

The one liner from Batman Vs Dracula is amazing. “You are....Bruce Wayne?” “And the Batman. *And you’re dust* “
*"I'm the Batman", not "And the Batman."
What's weird is that when Dracula and Bruce first meet, with the way Dracula is talking about Batman to Bruce, you'd think he knows Bruce is Batman already and is teasing him about it, but no, he doesn't figure it out until the end when Batman breaks out Bruce's technology on him. So like... what the heck? Maybe leftovers from an earlier draft?
Tbh none of these mattered except Johny quick, that one was just straight up premetitated murder.
He died of old age,not murder
@@ryder98307 He died as a direct result of Batman telling him to do something, that Batman knew fully well would kill him, without telling him that it would. That's unarguably murder. He didn't die of NATURAL old age. To say that's not murder would be like saying shooting someone isn't murder; they just died from a bullet wound.
@@troodon1096 Nope that's not murder and if you consider it it's not unarguably so
Pedro Régis All right think of it this way. Say I’m trapped somewhere. I tell you to go push a button that will let me out. You push the button. What I didn’t tell you is that if you push the button, you instantly died. So now you’re dead because I didn’t tell you what else the button dead. That sounds like murder through manipulation.
I think it was more of a choice: Johnny Quick or the Flash had to do it to save the multiverse (and die trying). He protected his friend at the expense of his enemy. Ruthless, but not murder.
"Unless it's a Snyder move, but i don't count those..."
But you will count player choice in a video game and ghost possession. You don't even touch on his comic kill count.
SpikeStarkey he’s saying that because if he counted the Synder movies he would count almost every death not only that but Batman kills on a daily bases on those which is why Needlemouse sees the Synder movies as trash

I like the distinction with Owlman
There's a big difference between leaving someone behind to perish in their failed plot, and tying that person to it then bail
Batman: Breathes

2. Dracula is litterally a reanimated corpse (the man he once was is already dead)
3. Owl Man held his fate in his own hands...he could have done something to save himself
4. Yep...he killed him lol
I kinda count Arkham City's Clayface's Death as a Batman Kill cause of the fact he started a chain reaction leading to Clayface's fall into the pit. But then again maybe Clayface survived somehow.
JR The 2nd 1 he had the chance to save him but he dint if you can save somebody but you don’t it counts as killing 2 once at the sun Dracula will never come back 3 what was the point of stopping the bomb he would be stuck there forever with no escape and die of starvation so he made it less painful
Dark Knight rises he shot missiles at the driver
Magikarp God to be fair, in Batman begins (I think?) Batman does say “I won’t kill you, but I don’t have to save you”
Alex Boehm ok
That was joker’s fault that Batman dropped the cure, not Batman’s...
In the sequel, the Joker in his mind clarifies: he let him die on purpose.
In Arkham city, he said that he still would not have given joker the cure even if he didn’t drop it
sparkyk24 I think that’s just joker trying to mess with Batman’s sanity, like what he’s been doing the whole series, but now he’s in his head and making him question every decision he’s made.
@@zaidenortiz8341 No, Batman said: "After everything you had put me through, I still would have saved you" then the Joker dies while laughing

Number 3 shouldn't count... just because Batman has a physical body doesn't mean it's his fault that someone else pulled the trigger, also number 2 doesn't count as Owlman had the choice of defusing the bomb, it was right there, ready to click. It wasn't Batman's fault that someone didn't choose to save themselves.
You could argue that batman still send him in a Frozen planet, earlier stated that any humans in it's surface would eventually die, next to a soon to be detonated World Bomb.
true but the planet was uninhabited so if you are going to teleport the bomb some where you should teleport it somewhere uninhabited
it stil doesn't count, the place will kill you, not the one who placed you there knowing thatyou're not defenseless.
VixXstazosJOB but he also gave him the controller thing to get back. He just throws it at owlman before he gets teleported. Owlman didn't do jack to save himself. That was owlmans fault not batmans.
Batman sent Owlman to the frozen planet knowing the bomb was going to go off and not knowing there was an abort button if that was the case he wouldve pressed it.
9:43 "it doesn't matter"- Owl Man
Batman didn’t kill Owlman, he just sent him to other earth. He even leave the screen of the computer with the option to abort the detonation. And not only that, Batman let Owlman with the teleporter gun so he can escape from that world too before it’s too late. But at the end Owlman say “It doesn’t matter” and died by his own choice.
So basically Batman gave Owlman two ways to escape and survive, and he didn’t use any of those. He died y his own will. .
Nope, because Batman killed him because he made Owlman stuck to the bomb when he threw the rope and then he threw the device so that the device teleports the bomb and Owlman to a chosen location to save the world.
@@devinkleinsmith5026 Owlman broke free from the bomb. He could have stopped it.
"Now you may say , but I want to ignore that because I want to make this video."
To be honest he could have done this video with versions of the comics and that would have been fine, maybe he wanted to do it only on TV shows so yeah, for me is still a pretty good video
I mean in my opinion, most of his videos go like this, and he does definitely ignore alot of things, for example saying Dracula is 'alive', when in every canon of him he is either a pseudo zombie or a supernatrual monster of some kind that is undead.
"Not saving someone when you have the cure is killing them"
Marvels spiderman: "am I a joke to you?"
Eh, he chose to let his mom/aunt die if it meant savIng thousands more. Letting an old woman - at peace with her death - her son by her side, die of a disease and letting the cure save thousands and possibly avert the apocalypse is possibly different. That’s why they deliberately shadowed Peter’s face when he tried to force himself to inject may with the cure: it was his darkest instinct. He would be killing thousands, possibly millions, to let one person live. Him being obscured in darkness shows it’s the selfish, dark decision, and we only see peters face again when he decides he can’t do it and see him sobbing violently.

Sorry, going to have to call out a logical inconsistency here:
If Batman is said to have killed Ras Al Ghul because he could have easily saved him, but chose not to, then by that same line of logic, Owlman killed himself, because he could have easily saved himself, but chose not to.

okay good Im not the only one whos thought about this, and what about the Alien Sperm things from the first few episodes from the original Justice League cartoon.
The Owlman thing wasn't his fault. Owlman could've shut down the bomb
Owlman is an alternate version of Batman so technically it IS Batman's fault. Lol jk
Also the Parademons thing was a joke
James Woods voicing Owlman is PERFECT

I do wanna bring up that the joker hallucinations are brought on by the copious amounts of extra potent fear gas so it's entirely possible it's just the joker hallucinations are just trying to fuck with him. It's hard to tell.
I'm not Laughing song?
Alfred: Batman where is Master Grayson?
Batman: He's over there on the floor.
Alfred: Master Grayson is dead!
Batman: No he's not. I hit him in the head so he would lose his memory of learning who I am.
Alfred: How many times did you hit him in the head?
Batman:... 125 times...
Alfred: Batman! That kills people!
lol
I hit myself 125 times and I’m not dead
@@jinsungyuu8365 cuz you didnt hit hard enough!
But owlman had the chance to disable the bomb
remember nothing matters
the part in arkham knight when joker says he knows ‘the truth’ i always saw it as the joker side taking gradually more control and fighting bruce’s side, almost trying to convince him that he wouldn’t share the cure making him feel guilty more than actually knowing bats wouldn’t share the serum
in my mind joker side was just trying to lure him to his side then an actual truth
The thing is he doesn’t kill humans yet he has no problem killing aliens and stuff like that
Am I the only on who likes the batman from batman v Dracula and the joker also the music is so fucking good
joe marine I liked the Batman design but they needed a little more work on some of the villians.
joe marine yh it was a spinoff movie of the show "The batman"
doctor99268 I know
Music is absolutely sick and I love that cartoon
The Batman was my childhood show and it was also pretty much my favorite version of batman at the time
Holy shit!! Ive watched crisis a few times and this is the first time ive realized that Owlman could have hit abort and was all..."IT DOESNT MATTER"!! WoW...metal af
In my opinion, Batman letting Ras die was an act of mercy. I just can't believe anyone who can live as long as him can hold the same respect for mortals without losing some amount of self respect or humanity at the same time. Despite whether or not you decide to let him die in Arkham Knight, Ras always responds "proud of you, detective." At GCPD. I think that proves his indifference to his cause and even more his personal indifference but strong will to follow the cause at stake, since he truly believed it was right. On one end he embraces his so called "destiny" but also embraces Batman's honorable decision to end his seemingly endless reign of terror. Thanks to Batman's emotional ambiguity however, it's hard to tell exactly what he (Batman) really thought about (technically) ending his life. Which isn't really the point of the ideal, but challenges batman's moral code either way, as many other villains have but not even CLOSE to Ras... Batmans mentor/teacher AND immortal enemy...
I remember watching Batman vs Dracula and having a nightmares for a few days afterwards. Such a good film.
He didn't killed them. Remember what he said, "I won't kill you, but I won't save you either".
Tell that when first time batman see joker fall in arkham origins, what he do?
@@user-dv6nh3mu3y he had to save him to avoid continuity errors.
About owl man he thinks that any choice he makes does not matter because he would have had made the opposite one of that in another dimension.
IT DOESN"T MATTER.
11:10 nope, his actions did not lead to anything. Batman straight up told him it was dangerous and Johnny quick volunteered and said OF COURSE ITS DANGEROUS. That's by definition Johnny Quicks doing. So this one doesn't count. Also it's not his fault they have to travel dimensions or whatever.
1:05 When the darksouls music kicks in
you forgot the dark knigth, batman killed two facced
The Joker got so many chances but he killed Two Face on their first encounter lol
He broke his moral code.
5) non canon as there's two choices. So one is real while the other is false but neither is confirmed.
4) movie version is non canon.
3) Deadman used his body, Batman wasn't there.
2) Owlman kept the clock on, Bats allowed him to do suicide.
1) Batman didn't willingly do this. He knew he'd age until in elder age but not to death (comic showed he didn't know it would be to death, but until in extreme physical pain in old age)
+Jorge G. Figueroa Then explain how he killed Darkseid with bullet in comics.
Don't tell me that it wasn't the kill because it was.
xXSilentAgent47Xx Darkside didn't die form that shot he was just wounded, did you even reed the comic book
+Anton Duroj Bidstrup Look up for my comment at "Batman! You're All Right! Batgirl! Yes! I Am Absolutely Calm!".
You'll find responses there who claim he did.
xXSilentAgent47Xx if your talking about infinite crisis he didnt
"I'm Batman... and you're dust."
Thats one of the coolest lines ever spoken
Owlman was given the chance to save himself by aborting the bomb's destruction but he didn't that one seems more like suicide than murder. Ra's Al Ghul, like the person said you could have saved him. It was up to the player not Batman the character. Dracula is supernatural and was undead and was never truly human. Plus you can't imprison him so what do you do? Johnny Quick made a choice to do it and plus he could have told them but that would only waste time. It was more like sacrifice than murder.
Aquaman dropping a big barrel on black mantas dad. Waits for him to drown. "I didn't kill him".
It doesn't matter if hes not truly human. Superman isnt human, he wasnt even born on earth and Batman refuses to kill him because he believes that killing intelligent beings is wrong.
damn it i was going to comment abut that
L S No. Superman might not be biologically human but he’s considered human because he’s an alien that can show empathy and compassion
Batman didn't kill Ras, he didn't resurect him. That's different.
Senior Bandido he explained why you’re wrong
@@memedealermikey he says that if you have a cure to save a man's life and you don't give it to him, that's killing that man. What Ras needs is Lazarus pit "water" to cheat death and never die. He should've died hundreds of years ago.
Senior Bandido technically his life kinda resets as if he never was close to death at all. So by that logic if Batman were to stab him in the face and cut him into pieces he didn’t kill him. I disagree
@@memedealermikey Except the difference is that by stabbing him in the face and cutting him into pieces, Batman would actually be doing something to directly cause Ra’s death, whereas by not giving Ra’s the cure to resurrect him, Batman is just simply not doing anything to either cause nor prevent his death, making it more like the situation in the movie Batman Begins where Batman says to Ra’s “I won’t kill you, but I don’t have to save you”.
You could argue that many of the people that the joker killed are Batman’s fault due to him refusing to kill the clown despite knowing that the joker is likely to never change
i love how evil batman, even if he could stop the bomb,he just said "it doesn't matter" and chose to die, instead of stopping it and trying again
“I won’t kill you...but I don’t have to save you” ~ Batman begins
