I’m fairly new to Lorcana (1 month) and this is the most helpful video I have seen for improving my gameplay. The way you talk about every card and even the cards you exclude, is so helpful. And would love game VODs analysis.
That means so much to me!!! I would love to start a new players series to teach fundamental concepts and deck building strategies! It may have to wait until after Worlds now haha but soon!!!
I second this - I just started playing and green purple stuck out to me for its flexible playstyle. Your list was the first one that I looked at and I was really confused about some of your choices initially. However this explanation makes soooo much sense. Please do a vid on your stream matches!
Here for a beginner series. We’ve been playing for the last two sets but this is our first tcg. Still learning basics like deck archetypes and such. Love the content! 49:36
I would also love to see a beginner series. I am new as well and like the concept of purple/green. I would love to see how you play this deck vs other combos or another green/purple.
Your performance obviously speaks for itself, but this video is just incredible and just proves how much you've mastered this game. You're game sense and knowledge of getting max value is insane. I don't know the last time I watched a youtube video this long but it felt like it flew by. I learned a ton and you gave me a lot to think about with my deck going in to set champs. You make me feel so validated on before NA championships I kept telling my friends that EA players were straying away from the deck's identity and that I wanted to play 16 one drops going in. Can't wait for them to announce worlds, I'll be pulling for you hard.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it can help you bring a couple Scar's home! Thank you sooooo much for your support! I'm really hoping to bring it home this time.
Thanks for this video! It was super interesting to hear your thoughts. Congrats on the great finish at Continentals! I might try your list for set champs this weekend.
Congrats Mo! You’re a real inspiration and it’s amazing hearing your thought process in deck building. Good luck at Worlds, I’ll be rooting for you 🎉 Would love to see a VOD review, especially of your games with Zan!
Thank you sooo much for your kindness!!! I'm glad you enjoy! I would LOVE to do vod reviews. And we have some good games to choose from honestly! That game two against Zan is probably the best game of Lorcana I've played in my life.
Thank you very much for the video. I saw you in the stream and crossed my fingers for you. I have learned new things and will try this at my next matches ;-)
Loved to see you did so well at the NA continentals! I also ran GP, and knew it would be a solid choice going into the day! Great thinking behind the chosen cards, PRINCE PHILLIP MVP 🔥
I played this deck last night and it was so much fun to play. I did drop Olaf and added 2 5 drop Elsa and it worked pretty well but thank you so much for laying this groundwork. So many of the meta decks aren't fun for me to play but this one was a blast. Excited to see what all you do with it. Edit: Lyle was an insanely good card in all of my matchups last night.
Congrats on the result Mo! I am taking this list to DLC Melbourne in a couple of weeks, I’m a new Lorcana player but an experienced TCG player. Definitely won’t be the easiest netdeck but I’m keen for the challenge, and wasn’t vibing with RA. Will you have detailed matchup guides on your metafy? The only things I could glean when you talked about Red Blue were something about Hiss? Again congrats on a massive result! 🎉
Thank you!!!! Let's go! You have time to practice and really understand the lines. I believe in you! Absolutely! My detailed guide should be available by tomorrow, with weekly thoughts posted!
Great video, was looking forward to this one! One question I do have, would you mulligan a gogo away 100% of the time no matter the match up or would you keep it as a potential answer to Diablo?
Great question! If I see some matchup essentials I dig for(Kit, Ursula, One drops) I will keep the Go Go to chase birds away! I also will keep Go Go under some situations against Red Blue. If I see my one drop opener I will often hold onto a Go Go to punish Hiram in the first turn he typically quests on(They ramp to 4 before so they quest when I ink to 4 or 5, can usually get a good burst of lore from Fox/Goat into the sideways Hiram.)
Makes perfect sense, I think I just need to stop being scared of these big cards that banish my fox/goat ect on one turn knowing full well GoGo could make her appearance and make them have to make the decision against whether to quest or challenge to rid the damage. Just gotta get them cards side ways! 😅
great job. I went green purple at my last set champs and consider doing the same this time too. I like your take on genie wars; i even considering swaping the 4 Genies 2 Rabbits to 2 Genies 4 Rabbits
I love Amethyst/emerald and was rooting for you. I play a different kind of A/E but what I love about this deck that it has options against almost everything. There are no clear wins with these decks and you have to keep up your game to get the win. I think it's also a bit underrated by R/S players because you have to find the anwsers and don't have them ready. A crab/genie combo deals with a half shark, a tamatoa is a nice one to drop a tomago on when it has some damage. Its hard to cut cards because everything has a use. I will try out your dzck when I get my hands in the Pegasus'
Absolutely!!! So I'll have my detailed mulligan guide on my text guide that should drop tomorrow but my blind strategy for this event was 1: Always seek the triple one drop opener, merfolk was a keep on the play but if I had the choice I'd often let it go on the draw. Once the room narrowed and I had a good guess my opponents were on RB I always kept Merfolk. 2: Ursula Deceiver and Fox were secondary priorities to handle the songs MU. Both also had applications against RB and RA as well. RB is heavy on songs now and fox can slam into Hiram to set up for a turn 4 4 lore go go, or locking their hiram. Both were beneficial. 3: Kit and Crab. Key card against green steel, ruby am and songs respectively. Kit was generally strong on the play when I had my triple one drop opener so I would alter priority with the ones in tier 2 as needed. Other than that if I saw god hands with the pegasus shift line I would keep it lol. But I wouldn't usually keep the shift unless I saw the triple one drop opener.
Hey Mo love your deck! Any updates to this list your certian is a better fit? Going to run your list this weekend for my set champs. Just was looking for any advice to perfect this list. Thank you for your content!
Congrats on the result! :D In the video you said you love to see broom against daisy opener. Can you explain more why? I am new to the game, i'm trying to understand more :)
Absolutely!!! So I like seeing the broom against Daisy in particular because it's 1/2 statline allows me to boost it with Crab on turn 3 to take out one Daisy Duck and then bounce the Crab with Fox to boost again and remove another threat!
Absolutely!!! Fred is a powerhouse of a card into Amethyst mirror matches and really shines into Blurple. But unfortunately he get's kinda ignored and answered as collateral damage at later stages of the game against steel and red decks!
I love your deck so much. Been following you for awhile. Wish i had you sign my cards when we met! What would you take our for shift clarabelle and small clarabelle for set champs?
I'm glad you like it! Honestly depends on your meta! I would prbly drop one drops for one drops, those just depend on what you are expecting to see on your local level, and I think I would drop the pegasus shift for big clarabelle! And honestly you can cut rabbits as well if you are going the Clarabelle route, just be wary if you are in a heavy red blue meta.
@ great idea! So drop shift pegasus and little pegasus for 3 little clarabelles and 3 big ones. Potentially cut rabbits for something else? What would you recommend? Thank you so much for the reply. That was very helpful. I love my clarabelles
Congrats. I love this deck. Can you explain how broom helps you in matchups against Daisy? And if you have time, any strategy you can share against steel song is much appreciated. It’s been my Achilles heel since I started playing a year ago lol
Broom boosted with crab can take out the daisy and survive to bounce and boost again on the next turn! And sometimes it is correct to boost it on turn 4 and pop the broom after the challenge by playing a one drop so they can't challenge for Rapunzel draws.
Hi Mo, Is there a reason why you didn’t drop Sir Hiss for the 2-drop Peagus? It’s the same stats as Hiss, still Evasive and it’s an extra shift target for your big Peagus?
Very favored honestly. Diversifying threats while going wide is hard to handle in the typical tempo list, once Rourke comes down it's almost the nail in the coffin to standard builds. Plus we never give them Clarabelle value so both her and Ursula are just juicy Go Go targets! Now if they toss in a tech under the sea this list might be in TROUBLE.
If I was taking this to a set champs or something and I didn't have all the cards, what would you recommend swapping in out of the cards you didn't put in your deck?
@ go go missing isn’t detrimental but is a huge ability when you get to use it. There isn’t really a replacement for that opportunity ability. As for genie you can play four rabbits and I will have to think on how you get two additional draw on play characters.
Genie can be a swap with rabbit and if you live in a Red Blue dominated area that could honestly be a solid call in general. Go Go is a hard swap, more white roses can be good. I just love Go Go and kind of focus my games around her. When is your set champs?
Congrats on your NA continentals run! I appreciate your deck explanation, I've got a huge amount of new insights into GP from this. However two questions have arisen for me. First, you said that you love to see Broom against a Daisy Duck Matchup and you're confident about your chances if you can answer a Daisy with a Broom on turn 1. What is the benefit of Broom in this case? Second, against Steelsong you said that you don't play a 1-drop (except Diablo or Olaf) if the opponent opens with a cinderella because it just will die to Let the storm rage on. But afterwards you said that you'll be happy if the opponent uses such high value ressources against e.g. Pegasus outside of turn 1. So if I don't have Diablo or Olaf to play on turn 1, what is the benefit of holding back the 1-drops in turn 1 or in other words: why is Let the storm rage on "less powerful" outside of turn 1? Do you play double 1-drop on turn 2 then or do you rely on Ursula to play her on turn 2?
So broom can take a Daisy duck with a crab boost and survive to be boosted again by bouncing the crab and take another Daisy! Also notably sometimes on 4 you can boost the broom, take daisy then pop the broom to draw and limit their chances to draw off Rapunzel. Absolutely! So conceptually to beat steel you NEVER want them to answer every turn you play. So losing 100% of your turn one is a major set back compared to losing 50% of your turn two. Every song down is something to keep track of and to plan your pushes around. Typically my formula for approaching Ursula in this matchup is play her when I need to. If they played Cindy turn 1 on the play and sang to kill my Diablo I will generally hold Ursula, but if I did not play a one drop I will usually play Ursula on 2 to snipe the song I have a good guess that they have. Good song players will mull their songs and look for Daisy and if they hit Cindy they will attempt to bluff you but I still think we always play her on two if we didn't play a one drop on one.
Congrats for the NA result. The only spicy i can think of would be 1-3 locations like 3ink libary or some 1 ink 4 willpower to stress the enemy even more. but the question is: what to cut for it and is it worth :D
I was testing Library legit up until the night before! Powerful card into RB and RP but I ended up always wanting to top deck characters I could bounce! Thank you!!!
Absolutely!!! This week I am planning on a Vod review between my match with DKP but I will see if I can do a double release. If not, I'll look into it next week!

I'm glad you are enjoying it!!!! Lyle is such an amazing card. Very skill oriented but pays off in the long run!
You are the best man. Joining your metafy asap
AHHH Thank you sooo much!!!! I'll see you there =]

It was so great to meet you Brent!!! Thank you soooo much!

If you expect to see a lot of red this is a smart swap! Genie favored into steel matchups and rabbit is insane into red!

Exactly!!!! It's a beautiful archetype that really rewards experience. I hope you like it!!!
I feel like against steelsong, Merfolk turn 2 (+ another 1 drop) isn't too bad. You 100% bait their singer and make them vulnerable to crab/fox.
Absolutely!!! I'd just usually rather have the merfolk in the deck for the game winning push late game!
Congrats mo!!! For the run
I have a question about blind mulligans like you do with your deck that you usually keep aside from the 3 drops of 1
Absolutely!!! So I'll have my detailed mulligan guide on my text guide that should drop tomorrow but my blind strategy for this event was
1: Always seek the triple one drop opener, merfolk was a keep on the play but if I had the choice I'd often let it go on the draw. Once the room narrowed and I had a good guess my opponents were on RB I always kept Merfolk.

I'm not running this combo, but very helpful insight nonetheless! I'll have to keep my eyes open at set champs. - Sam
Thank you! Good luck at set champs!!!
Hey Mo love your deck! Any updates to this list your certian is a better fit? Going to run your list this weekend for my set champs. Just was looking for any advice to perfect this list. Thank you for your content!
Depends on your local meta! I knew songs would be all over mine so I added a few shift Ursula and another Rourke!
@ThatMoKid Thanks for your reply Mo! Keep up the hard work!
I do have an additional question: did you ever tried the green 1-Drop Fred from Set 6 in this Deck? I am not sure about him 🤔
Absolutely!!!

Congrats. I love this deck. Can you explain how broom helps you in matchups against Daisy? And if you have time, any strategy you can share against steel song is much appreciated. It’s been my Achilles heel since I started playing a year ago lol
I think it's because of the 2 body so Daisy cant take it out and allows to draw from brooms on turn 2
@ ah. That makes sense! I just assume Daisy is questing 99% of the time but this makes sense. Thank you.
@ then you could crab T3 and wipe daisy out with brooms
Broom boosted with crab can take out the daisy and survive to bounce and boost again on the next turn! And sometimes it is correct to boost it on turn 4 and pop the broom after the challenge by playing a one drop so they can't challenge for Rapunzel draws.
Hi Mo,
Is there a reason why you didn’t drop Sir Hiss for the 2-drop Peagus? It’s the same stats as Hiss, still Evasive and it’s an extra shift target for your big Peagus?
It's red right? I actually think I saw one this weekend in a red blue list! Haha, that would be so cool though to have two potential shift targets!!!
How does you think this list does into the GP mirror match?
Very favored honestly. Diversifying threats while going wide is hard to handle in the typical tempo list, once Rourke comes down it's almost the nail in the coffin to standard builds. Plus we never give them Clarabelle value so both her and Ursula are just juicy Go Go targets! Now if they toss in a tech under the sea this list might be in TROUBLE.
Championship went crazy with this deck, tiberious shut down a Green Steel discord's merfolk for a 2/2 win!
LET"S GO GOOOOOO!!!!
If I was taking this to a set champs or something and I didn't have all the cards, what would you recommend swapping in out of the cards you didn't put in your deck?
Which cards are you missing? That might help with the replacement recommendations.
I'm missing two go go's and genie which I know are pretty big for this deck
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Anything but Red purple 😂
ANYTHING BUT RED PURPLE!!!!!
Any chance you could go back and re-watch your streams for the channel and maybe commentate your play-line thoughts for the matches? Would be awesome!
Thats a plan! I think I'll start with my match against DKP next week!
Who has been dropping Ursula? :OOO
Haha I've seen it around! But I think most circles have considered the deck to be in a rough way since the CCS haha.
@@ThatMoKid where did you get the space for the library ?! :D
Hey 👋 … Could you do a Mulligan/Test hands vs different meta matchups? Really love the deck , taking it to set champs
Absolutely!!! This week I am planning on a Vod review between my match with DKP but I will see if I can do a double release. If not, I'll look into it next week!
@ Awesome! Thanks !
