Better question why were so many people left out of the documentary
Tim Tebow was a 5-star recruit and played significantly as a freshman behind Chris Leak (another 5-star recruit), so of course he was going to start. There was never a QB controversy, just ESPN trying to change the narrative for views.

Cam was a freshman in 2007 when Tebow proceeded to win the Heisman by rushing for 20 TDs, 900 rushing yards, 32 passing TDs, and 3,286 yards. In what world would Cam have started over a Heisman-winning QB? Tebow would've had to do something to lose it. Let's also not act like Cam in 07 and 08 were the same type of player in 2010. Even with Cam having one of the best seasons ever in college football, his stats were crazy similar to that of a sophomore Tebow.

A bit misleading but i agree mostly….Cam’s numbers (albeit nearly identical) are just more significant considering the talent (or lack thereof) that he had around him on that Auburn team. That team was dead in the water without him….Florida would have still been decent without Tebow that year bc of the sheer amount of NFL talent that team had

He threw 32 touchdowns to 6 interceptions against SEC defenses. He had a 67% completion percentage and threw for 3300 yards, with a 9.4 average yards per attempt, the most in the country that year. Did he rest on those laurels? No. He also ran for 900 yards and 23 more touchdowns. He was the first undergraduate to ever win the Heisman that year. He was still dominating in 2008 and they went 13-1 while winning the SEC championship and national championship. How are you going to take this guys spot? He was having one of the most successful quarterback careers ever and was a Rockstar because of it. He wasn't able to make an NFL career flourish, but denying he was legendary in college is bananas. Cam Newtons stats at Auburn weren't even as impressive. Are you gonna bench Patrick Mahomes because his backup looks good at practice?
cannot nobody tell me urban meyer isnt the top 4 best college coaches of all time. nobody could recruit as good as him. even in the NFL. he just wasn't a good NFL coach. but on a college level he was the goat.

Tebow didn't carry the team to a title, if anything he was a big fast runner one a big fast team. Cam would absolutely have turned Florida into a Dynasty, but instead Florida played politics and so Cam went to Auburn and single handed dragged that team, sometimes kicking and screaming, to a title and national relevance

Cam only played one year of college and accomplished the samething as tebow even though tebiw had way more weapons around him with a killer defense and with that being said tebow was a joke in the pros why cam got better and better leading his team to the superbowl .
