I live South Cumbria/North lancs. Tend now to visit the trough which stunning and quiet or Dales. Anyways, i read a biography by lead singer of chumbawumba, a book just about his love for fell running in UK and now the US.
We are recent retirees from the U.S. who summited all 214 over six months in 2021/2022. Working on our second round. Love the Lake District and the Wainwright guides. Hartsop is one of our favorite parts of the LD. You are a lucky man to be living near the LD.
That’s a brilliant effort! And working on a 2nd round too 👌🏻 yes Hartsop is a great spot I love it as a place to start. Thanks for watching great to have you along :)
Excellent vid fella, gasping for a day on the fells after watching this 😊 Also enjoyed your slow cooker chat - the thing i miss most now im vegetarian is slow cooked casseroles, doesn't really work with just vegetables - any suggestions from you or other viewers welcome! Keep up the vids John, love 'em ❤
Mate first off respect to you for running all them class and again nice bit of knowledge of the area excellent stuff mate I would struggle to walk this lol and yet you looked so calm at the end I would of been sitting on the floor great stuff buddy enjoyed watching this will work my way through the flogs thanks for sharing 👍
Great stuff as usual. Starting to get cheeky insights into the life of the fell running vlogger….culinary insights and tips plus a glimpse of the bookshelf! Great to see the FRA collection in there. Great running round Hartsop….a favourite parking spot. Great work as ever John. Thanks mate.
"Plus my knee hurt" 😂😂 Lovely vid as always John. I think the map/route inserts are really informative and help to put your runs into context 👍👍 Good effort.
Great videos lad, i love your intros.. That walk would have taken me about 15 hours, so impressive to see you guys knock em off as if its nothing.. all the best for 2024s races, take care :)
Crazy. I’ve just had the last of my fell running kit delivered and pinned my first route. Mate, it’s effectively this! Yours slightly longer, but wanted to hit the same peaks, as it always seemed like good runnable track and, like you say, a lovely place to drive to (and not that bad on the road in winter - I also don’t have the right tyres). Honestly, I would only be hiking and camping the fells if it wasn’t for you John. Can’t believe I’m ready to go for running on them. Will have to record some of it and send you on Insta. Sent this message before watching this video! Back to it….
@@lakelandtrailrunner loved it. Continue to love the audio, great mix of easy listening and upbeat with something a little more emotive - fits the feeling I get in fells perfectly 👌
Sterling work mate, shoehorning that vert in. The Mudtalon Speed does look a sexy beast, but not £130 sexy. Got some X-talons in the sales for 50 quid, they'll do for me! Sausage casserole, mmmm 🤤
How can you make meat eating sound saucy? Just as well you didn't say you were looking forward to getting home, for a mouth full of sausage! Thanks for the Wayne white entertainment 👍

I think that a running the Wainwrights series would be very good, kind of like the guy Black Crag.
Yeah I follow that account too, I’m thinking of it :)

Great video! Some nice editing and great effort all round👍🏼
Watching from Florida, no fells here, just malls 😂
😂 wonder if you’ll find any Strava segments inside those malls? 🤔 thanks for watching man! 🤘🏻
Great video and landscapes. Your voice is shifting left and right speaker but it probably deliberate 🙂👍
Glad you enjoyed it. I’ll check that out and make sure it’s not my recording gear 👌🏻
I’m sure that jacket gets an extra strip of gaffa tape on it in every video 😂

I’ve seen tracks of the new Mudtalon out and about already so people are rocking them on the fells. I’ll have to wait a while 😉
