Frecklewish didn’t deserve to go to the dark forest. She was overwhelmed with grief and she thinking Mapleshade’s kits were her brother’s shattered my heart. She was controlled by a lie, but that doesn’t change her. When she finds out Mapleshade’s kits died, she shows sadness for the kits
Yeah, a lot of people think frecklewish hated those kittens when that's just not true. Like she said, she didn't mean for them to die. she didn't want them too. It's in the book, that people just don't read. They sent this poor kitty to starclan, but her father Oakstar whom has done worse things got in? I'm just convinced starclan picks favorites.
She didn't really call them racial slurs. She called them "Half-clan creatures" And though she was the first to call for their exile, I don't believe was every truly hateful for the kits. She hated their parents, but it was never the kits choice to be born half clan. And if anyone deserves the dark forest its Oakstar, the leader. He had the final say in the matter and through hate and rage he exiled all of them. And don't come with the "She watched them in the river and drown" She was a thunderclan cat. She watched her brother's apprentice drown in the river because the apprentice was trying to save Birchface. So of course she wouldn't jump in the river to save kits. She saw riverclan there and though the writers claim that she left there was nothing she could do. And this is all through Mapleshade POV. So we don't have Frecklewish's side of the story. I think there should be a short story from Freckle's POV to show us where the story was truly going.

She was lied too for a long time that she was gonna help raise her brothers kits, she was led to believe that mapleshade would have birchface kits and that they would live on through him, mapleshade fooled everyone and then she finds out that not only they aren't birchface kits but it was his murders kits! What she said wasn't ok but anger took over and she said something very harsh But in the end she loved them because she went out of her way to raise them and was sad that they died and she even said she wished mapleshade had died instead! In the end she reacted with emotions, not logic which can really make someone do or say harsh things
Gonna be honest, Im a Mapleshader sympathizer through and through, but its maps like these that show Frecklewish's side without forcing her opinion down your throat that make me love her Ive never been one to grief like that, i cant imagine how hard it could be to never be able to forget someone who you see in every leaf and memory, it really makes me empathize with her even though ive never been in her spot, which is REALLY hard to do, so congrats everyone!
@@SonarTheBat Mapleshade did a little more than lash out in grief (murdering three people is no longer excused by “grief” haha) but both were grieving yes. Mapleshade had all the right to be angry (minus the murder) just as Frecklewish did.

Loved everything in the map! Including when Birchface come from Starclan to the Dark Forest to get his sister out of there! A perfect middle finger to the “Story Teams” shitty stance, excellent job and let’s keep it canon that Frecklewish did go to Starclan! ⭐️
Honestly she's by far not, she has plenty of her own maps for being not such a big character. She doesn't have much story like everyone else, but people still hold maps for her and talk about her. There are just people who don't like her much as a character because of how she acts.

It feels like we're missing out on some extra details or something. Or she really did just relish in watching kits drown, jeesh.
