Thanks for posting. My family and I live in the Albuquerque area and haven't made it to Rock Hound state park yet. We do want to visit though.

Living in the Midwest and having lived in Las Cruces and Colorado for decades it makes me smile when you say winter weather I'm New Mexico, especially Deming, is unpredictable. It is almost the same out every day all winter with exception of the winds which generally pick up late morning and are pretty much constant until sunset, starting earlier and earlier as spring approaches. I loved living in New Mexico because the weather was so consistent and predictable!😅 That said, thanks for introducing me to this park. I'm going to be in the area again soon and will be going for sure!

New Mexico is the best state. I spent last winter there and fell in love with all the people. Every sunset and sunrise. Windy but I'll take it any day over a Minnesota winter

Since it's really important to lots of us campers and rver's that people teach their dogs to behave and not disturb the peace ... I've got say thank you so much for teaching your nice dog to not bark unnecessarily all the time ... a lot of dog owners don't seem to understand how rude it is to others to thinks it's ok to let their dogs go wild and crazy these days and it's getting worse all the time ...so thanks for the work you put into this...

Thank you so much! We agree about the barking issue at campgrounds. Luckily Dylan is not much of a barker anyhow but we are teaching him manners daily and he is a good student. We adopted him from our local city rescue and we encourage everyone to check out the dogs there! Thanks again and thanks for watching.

Very nice video! This is one of our favorite State Parks. In March and April the area is in bloom with California Poppies. We hope to see that this year. Thumbs up on your review!

We were there two years ago in February/March and we had the same camp site 15. Absolutely love it there and can't wait to go back. they told us it was to early for rattlesnakes but we found one all curled up rattling at us on the other side of the mountain.

thanks for letting us know! We didn't see any snakes, it was definitely too cold but if this weather continues they will be out earlier and earlier.

Wow…Dylan is getting so big! Love his brindled colors. What a beautiful campground. I really enjoyed the rocks, especially the petrified wood. Great video! I never get tired of looking at the beauty of New Mexico. Mahalo.

Nice campground. On my to-do list also. Was in the area this past summer, but it was too hot with the poodles.

I would definitely avoid it in summer, there just isn't any shade at all. Right now though, in cooler months it is perfect!

It’s wild i got here so early. If you went to Valero a few days ago i may have seen you lol! I was looking for a spigot. Walmart in deming also allowed overnight parking for me but i have a van, not sure about RVs.
There’s also BLM to the north around flourite ridge that has some pullouts

yeah, they told us that there are no police out there stopping people but they want everyone to have a chance to find something... we saw at least 2 dozen people on Saturday out there looking for rocks!
